Why is it that leftists are the happiest whenever this Pope opens his mouth? The guy never has anything relevant to say when marriage is destroyed, Planned Parenthood gets away with murder and body parts selling, faithful Christians being persecuted and prosecuted in the US and murdered in the Islamic world, gender confusion and on and on. Barely one word uttered about it.

Well, he’s going to have to re-write the Catechism then.

I remember when we had a Pope who actually taught Catholicism, instead of whatever bizarre idea popped into his head today.

So, did the Crusades merely imprison or tickle Moslems?

I seem to recall hearing that all cultures had a death penalty in the past, including ones which followed the Ten Commandments. For much of history, people understand the prohibition to be of “murder,” not killing per se. How does the Pope justify war, then?

Francis said: "It must not be forgotten that the inviolable and God-given right to life also belongs to the criminal."

Me thinks this presbyter has never read the Bible.

Pope on death penalty: 'Thou shalt not kill' is absolute

But you can take or leave the sodomy things.

Francis is in direct opposition to God who commended Capital Punishment for civil justice.

Pope on death penalty: 'Thou shalt not kill' is absolute,

I wish the pope would read and study the Bible once in a while. This is an untrue statement.

I thought the literal Hebrew translation was, “Shall not murder”.

So, life means nothing to this Satan in disguise. Self-defense is against his idiocy.

He's repealing the following command of God:

"Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." (Genesis 9:6)

God authorized capital punishment and requires it.

There is certainly a time when its kill'n time, and there is a time to reach out and heal.
Having the wisdom to know the difference is the key.

Ecclesiastes 3 Ecclesiastes 3
New International Version (NIV) A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Why is it that leftists are the happiest whenever this Pope opens his mouth?

Because they love false prophets.

Don’t know why but I just had a vision of a new toy.
“Tickle me Francis”
Poke at him and he says something stupid.

I can understand the position of being against the death penalty on moral grounds.

But the commandment is “Though shall not murder,” to be more accurate.

This isn’t one of those things he confused about, is it? Or, as long as the method of killing is beheading, I guess it’s OK? Coz this guy comes out with some very relativist stuff.

Well, every murderer who is put into prison for life instead of executed costs the taxpayers millions and millions of dollars. In fact, prisons have gotten so expensive, they have let a lot of prisoners out.

Of course, Pope the Dope doesn’t have to pay for any of this. So he just keeps sticking his nose into it.

So far it is just the Pope's opinion.

If the Pope makes it an ex-cathedra dogma, I believe the Catholic Church will implode in this country.

The Pope is considered infallible in matters of Faith and Morals and if a Catholic disagrees on this ex-cathedra doctrine on the death penalty, they are heretics and should be excommunicated.

He hasn't made it official yet, so it is just opinion. -Tom
