I’m not sure how Rubio would help if he is unlikely to be re-elected.
I do not believe the Florida numbers. But if it’s a swing state, a lower number can only help spur more volunteering and getting out the vote. After besting the voter’s earlier decisions to elect Republicans ¡Jeb! and Rubio, The Donald will probably prevail.

Even the Florida numbers are close. It is not a national election, and we have no idea how their phone calls actually distribute around the country in a national poll. It is supposed to be random and balanced, but they have little tweaks they can add in any category. If they tweaked in women, blue states, minorities, etc. then there’d be enough tweaks in many pro-Hillary categories to shift the poll and there’d appear innocent in any one category if it were looked at.
These polls (except Florida) are actually good news for Trump, considering how the media has been so negative to his campaign this month. Being dead even in Ohio and Pennsylvania is not the sign of a campaign on death row. Even in Florida, the deficit is not insurmountable. Also, the CNN/ORC poll that came out today only had Hillary ahead by 5 - I was expecting much worse than that. And her lead dwindles with 3rd party candidates added to the mix.
Anyone who thinks that Trump can’t win this year isn’t paying attention. Trump’s unfavorables are bad, yes, but so are Hillary’s. Both candidates are damaged. That’s why you see Bernie doing well against Trump but Hillary not so much.
I consider them good news for Trump, too.

I would love to know who they have polled , because I travel my state FL all the time and hardly ever see anyone supporting Clinton

We have not even had the conventions yet or picked VP’s. Polls this far out are meaningless. Stop feeding into the hysteria. Hillary has $42 million. Trump could write a check for that tomorrow. He will likely win in a landslide. She can barely fend off Bernie Sanders for Gods sake.
I don’t think you understood my post as I intended it. But, on the other hand, it wasn’t very well written.
It’s early, but Romney and McCain both did rope-a-dope between their clinching the nomination and the convention. Both suffered because of it.
All you need to know is that Trump is not Romney or McCain. He’s an alpha male with the eye of the tiger. That’s how you amass $9 billion. Hillary Clinton is weak and not well loved. She will die a death by a thousand tweets.
I will crawl on broken glass to vote for Trump, but I’m not going to let my guard down. I wasn’t taught that way.
A good offense is the best defense, but that doesn’t mean a general should be ignorant about defense.
Trump said on Fox and Friends that they are ramping up for the general election. Paul Manfort knows what he’s doing.
