Barbara Bush Thinks Planned Parenthood Is an ‘Exceptional Organization’

In the ongoing battle over women’s reproductive health, high-profile GOP politicians haven’t exactly praised Planned Parenthood. However, George W. Bush’s daughter, Barbara, spoke in favor of the organization. In a conversation with Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards for the New York Times, Bush said that part of the mission of her organization, Global Health Corps, is counting on millennials looking to effect change in the health industry.

“So many young people want to work on social change. They want to do good,” she said. “Global Health started because this great talent pipeline was not moving into health care. It’s hard to know how you fit in if you’re not a doctor or nurse. If we can demystify that and create channels into Planned Parenthood and other exceptional organizations, then we’ll have an army of people working to solve health problems.”

Part of the goal, Bush said, is to create a health system outside of party lines. “It’s crazy, and sad to think that health care is a polarizing issue, because it’s not a polarizing space,”

Slaughtering babies isn't 'health care'. That's what Planned Barrenhood does, Babs: they slaughter babies and sell the parts.

Good! When they extend their services to euthanasia of elderly folks, she can be the first on the list.

Never liked that old bag (and neither does W!)

I’m pretty sure that the article is about Barbara, the daughter of GW.

From the 2nd sentence of the excerpt “However, George W. Bush’s daughter, Barbara, spoke in favor of the organization.”

We truly are living in bizarro world...up is down, left is right, wrong is right and beliefs and opinions publicly stated are flipped to total opposites.

I caught the point of the author’s deception in the headline here.

Well, that’s kinda deceptive of the article, although I know she was “pro-choice” in any case.

I know what you mean.

You had to read the first 2 sentences of the excerpt to get that it was gw’s daughter, not his mom.

Who reads that far?

She also thought Jeb would make a good President.

The stupid. It flows daily from them and the Clintons.

I remember the “proudly posting without reading the article since 1999” - forgot who it was. That was awesome.

“Too bad she didn’t think so earlier.”

Yeah, just think how much better off we’d be today if she and old GHWB had practiced birth control (even passes back to GHWB’s father)! We’ve only had one really good president in my lifetime and he was saddled with GHWB as his VP. Trump won’t make the same mistake.

It’s such a butthead thing to do, but there are days when I cannot stop myself.

Today is one of those days.

With the overload of nonsense posted as “news” it’s a self-preservation tactic to avoid drivel.

Sometimes we miss - got fooled by today’s headline. LOL

Oh well, I still avoid, for the most part, the nonsense, lies, spin, deceit, half-truths put out daily by NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and Yahoo. But they continue to poison the minds of a few here and there.

Just more proof that the Bush family never truly represented us. All along they were Liberals playing us for fools.

You know, I’ve heard people slobber over Barbara Bush for a long time. I NEVER warmed to her, or Laura, at all, but at least Laura acted with some class while at the WH, unlike she who shall not be named.

“”I’m pretty sure that the article is about Barbara, the daughter of GW. From the 2nd sentence of the excerpt “However, George W. Bush’s daughter, Barbara, spoke in favor of the organization.””

Sure would help if people would take the time to digest what they’re reading. Why bother reading otherwise? There is plenty to criticize in today’s world so why go to the trouble of criticizing something that you don’t understand? Not you - OTHERS!

Someone else said that’s not her married name - this one ISN’T married to my knowledge. At least I didn’t get a wedding invitation - HA!
