First on CNN: Priebus probes state GOP leaders over anti-Trump push
CNN ^ | June 17, 2016 | Sara Murray, CNN

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has been quietly having conversations with state party leaders to discuss the latest push by convention delegates to nominate anyone other than Donald Trump.

Priebus has spoken with GOP party chairmen in multiple states in recent days in part to get a better sense of how large the anti-Trump faction is among their convention delegations, according to two people familiar with the conversations.

While Priebus has made clear in these conversations that he is not spearheading the latest push for a coup, his involvement sends a signal that the RNC is taking this effort to dump Trump seriously even as other movements have fizzled.

One source said Priebus' ultimate goal is unclear. But some anti-Trump forces are hoping to garner enough support to press the convention's rules committee to alter the rules governing the convention and open a path for a different candidate.

I didn’t vote for Trump in the primary, but if the GOP replaces him, I will not be voting for their replacement.

“Remove Ryno as Convention Chairman.”

Didn’t the POS offer to step down if asked, or did he walk that back after a talk from his Rat masters?

I’m making a list for my own use. If a Republican does not come out publicly and support Trump NOW, before the convention, I’ll never vote for them. Ever.

If Trump is contested at the convention, we all know the GOP will be dead anyway. Trump or someone else will step forward and continue this movement; the only “unknown” is who will lead it. Like i said, the GOP will go the way of the Whigs, no doubt about it.

IMHO, everyone needs to get a statement NOW from their local and state politicians on where they stand. For ME, if they waver now, before the showdown in Cleveland, they won’t deserve my vote later in November or anytime in the future. This is a showdown between national sovereignty and the globalist USA/Mexico/Canada North American Union that the Uniparty has scheduled for us.

Maybe Cruz and his fellow globalists have created their own witness protection programs for the delegates they’re willing to pay to change their vote.

They’ll need it. OMGawsh, i can’t imagine how hated they would be when they got back to their home states.

I picture the Trump delegates literally tearing the place apart.

I picture Hillary winning the WH and democrats winning every down ballot race.

They better rent a private jet, gather their families and leave the country.

LOL! How do they think they'll get out of the convention center alive?

Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are working hard to tear the Republican Party apart, with or without Trump. They were more concerned with getting rid of Cruz and Conservatives than they were Trump. I believe that it was Mitch McConnell’s former campaign advisor who came up with the Ted’s a liar campaign slogan as pay back for exposing Mitch McConnell’s lies on the floor of the Senate.

I think that McConnell and Ryan were trying to do the same thing to Trump that they did to Marco Rubio, alienate him from Conservatives.

The leadership of the Republican Party are all closet Democrats who were successful in infiltrating the GOP and are on the verge of imploding the party from within.

Wow I thought I was the only one that believed that.

I won’t vote, maybe write in Trump, but would rather vote for Hillary! than anyone the GOP would select to replace Trump as the nominee. He won the nomination, fair and square. The GOPe seeks to get it by cheating. That is no my party or one I could support or want any identification with ever again.

If these folks don’t like Trump, let them organize better next primary season. We’ve tolerated one wishy-washy GOPe type after the other for several election cycles now. They can take one season of Trump who has a better shot of being elected than anyone they might come up with.

If this did happen would Trump go 3rd Party?

If this happened I doubt there would be an election. Think about that instead of Cruz.

Why do you think that...seems to me a third party run is just what the Dims and the GOPe want...

Because I think there will be serious riots, if there isn't, then this country will no longer be a free republic, in any case. Lose, lose for Freedom.

Do you remember the riots of the late 60’s early 70’s? There were no elections canceled due to the rioting although Chicago in 68 did hand the Dim’s a defeat....

I actually remember them very well, but this time it will be a different demographic that does the rioting. Or not. If they don't riot then it really doesn't matter because they will then accept totalitarianism with a whimper.

I remember Ruby Ridge and Waco and decided if the Silent Majority would accept those government actions they would likely accept the camps and trains.

This election is very much different than any in my lifetime and we shall truly see if we remain a Free Republic or are revealed as a dying Republic.

I have faith only in God, people not so much. I am pretty sure when I mentioned Ruby Ridge and Waco that I didn't expect a lot out of so called conservative citizens but this election is a little different. The citizens will either fight or Hillary will assume the throne, either way the Republic will be doomed.

It’s not going to happen. This is just psywar to keep Trump in neutral gear. Trump is going to be the nom. Romney, Ryan and Cruz are planning a divisive convention. That’s what this is all about: Keeping the pot stirred until the convention.

Enough time has passed. Cruz now knows this was not his time. Many of us are expecting to see Cruz to fully support and endorse Trump. Why? If Cruz is a true patriot he will do everything he can to persuade Americans to vote for Trump. Cruz doesn't want Hillary. Hopefully Cruz knows that it is time to support the nominee and is willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with Trump to make America Great Again. Cruz should replace McConnell or be on the Supreme Court.

Just like Newt Gingrich did when he bowed out in 2012. Romney treated Newt like crap, but Newt still endorsed, supported and went on talk show after talk show in an effort to defeat the left and get others to vote for loser Romney. Newt put our country before his hurt ego. It's time for Cruz to do the same.
