If you haven’t been keeping up with the gun control debate following the Orlando terrorist attack, many democratic senators are conducting a filibuster of sorts to demand banning certain types of weapons. Illinois senator, Dick Durbin, apparently couldn’t resist speaking on the topic either.
Ironically, every word that left Dick Durbin’s mouth made him look like a complete jackass. He claimed that no self-respecting sportsman in his home state of Illinois would ever use an ‘AR-47’ to hunt deer.
Senator Durbin is actually correct for two major reasons.
First of all, there’s no such thing as an ‘AR-47.’ There’s an AR-15. There’s an AK-47. But nope, no AR-47’s. So clearly nobody could ever use a rifle to hunt deer that doesn’t even exist. Sorry Dick.

Considering the fact that the increase in id number signifies an exponential increase in killingousity, the AK-48 is gonna be a monster.

There is such a thing as an AR-47. It uses an AR upper on a modified AR lower that uses AK mags.
Saw them for sale 10 years ago, not sure they are still available.

The existence of the AR-17 is immaterial to Durbin. He is classing the 2nd Amendment as an amendment which protects our right to hunt. We all know that is not the intent of the 2nd Amendment. Just read George Mason’s comments on this amendment. He should know. He helped write it. It’s purpose is to protect us against people who wish to kill us whether that includes the government or not. George Washington said that the 2nd Amendment is second only to the Constitution. Washington said the 2nd Amendment was our “liberty teeth”. I stand with Mason and Washington and against Durbin.
Bear in mind that the spintater is likely to braize off after twelve or thirteen rackings, so have a few spares.
It’s very important to only own a traditional looking rifle with fine wood carvings. Carvings such as skunks, birds, hedge hogs and parakeets are all approved carvings.
Liberal lawmakers continue to show their ignorance on a topic they want to pass legislation on.
