If you havent been keeping up with the gun control debate following the Orlando terrorist attack, many democratic senators are conducting a filibuster of sorts to demand banning certain types of weapons. Illinois senator, Dick Durbin, apparently couldnt resist speaking on the topic either.
Ironically, every word that left Dick Durbins mouth made him look like a complete jackass. He claimed that no self-respecting sportsman in his home state of Illinois would ever use an AR-47 to hunt deer.
Senator Durbin is actually correct for two major reasons.
First of all, theres no such thing as an AR-47. Theres an AR-15. Theres an AK-47. But nope, no AR-47s. So clearly nobody could ever use a rifle to hunt deer that doesnt even exist. Sorry Dick.

The God-given, constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms has very little to do with deer hunting.
.223, the ammo used in an AR-15, is prohibited for hunting deer in most states
because it’s not powerful enough to reliably kill one.
As a complete non-sequitur; I love my scoped deer rifle!
Hi guy.
“AR-47 “
Armalite makes an AR 47?
Learn something new everyday.
5.56mm
AR-47 just means you can add a lot of clips into your AR-15’s.
No biggie! Everybody wants lots of clips in their firearms .......
I know what you mean, years ago I was reading a Mack Bolan ripoff, when our hero reached into the secret compartment in his heel and took out a Colt Python I made a 3 pointer into the trash can...

A pic of one. Of course, the question is why?
Goofy politicians say this kind of crap all the time to embarrass themselves. They have no clue about what they are talking about. AR-47. ROTFL! What an idiot. If you don’t know anything about something, BAN IT!
Lego Sharks are considered one of the most deadly.
AR-15s and parts for them are made in IL, dumbass dirtbin!
Without reading all the replys I might note that Illinois is a shotgun, muzzle loader and archery seasons only. That’s right, no rifle season for deer in the state of Illinois.

Why did Rosia Parks get a seat at the front of the bus.
The Constitution.
The Same Constitution that assures our right to be armed.
Dick,
don’t be like a Dick.
Oh, and it is but the AR47 is a massacre just waiting to happen!

I remember a time when many, if not most elected officials were veterans. There was a feeling of know-how and can-do in the air back then. I think it would refreshing to have that again.
Is there a law in IL that everyone there HAS to be an idiot? It sure seems as if they churn out a large bunch of them. THEY should be banned from running for office - even for dog catcher...
Sure is odd how they’re not even embarrassed about anything they say or do!
My gunsmith is building me a custom AR.
We’re calling it the AR-MAGEDDON.
One pull of the trigger and the world comes to an end.
If that doesn’t do it for me he’s going to build a bigger gun for me.
The AR-MA-DHARMA
One pull of the trigger and reality ceases to exist.
Watching The Five last night , even Eric Bolling call the AR-15 a .22 caliber...
You would think they would get their specs right before opening their mouths
