We saw him at a show a while back. He can’t sing anymore-sort of talked through his songs. He did look like a wax figure.

That is so sad. Kind of like Pat Boon., His voice disappeared with age, too.

I hope you are safe from the fire. I have friends in Pinetop and Showlow. Last I heard they were on “pre-evacuation warning”... I hope the firefighters are able to get it under control.

“Sure does to me—at high temps it doesn’t matter that it’s a “dry heat”.”

I don’t know if you live or have lived in Arizona, but the humidity really does make a remarkable difference. When I lived in Yuma the temperatures would range around 115-117 through most of July and August, sometimes going over 120. I worked outside in an open pit mine and the heat was awful, but we would wet our shirts about every half hour. The water would evaporate so rapidly in the low humidity that we were always relatively comfortable.

I went to visit another mine in Sinaloa, near Mazatlan, where the humidity was at least 90%. Though the temperature was only around 85 to 90 it was absolutely stifling. I was only too glad to get back to Yuma to the “comfortable” 115.

They are doing a magnificent job.

Burned area is 12,000 acres, 30% contained. Still under pre-evacuation.

Not another news brief until Mon. unless something warrants it.

We have not had the smoke to see or smell today as the past few days.

It is nerve racking and nail biting time.

A lot of breathing problems from smoke.

Hope your folks are OK.

And thanks for caring.

I was at the rally and only two disrupters were escorted out.

Trump rallies are a whole lot of fun. All American crowd from all different family backgrounds although:

I sat in back of two German couples who were at the Trump rally and they were just loving it.

I'm not able to post these very often:

"Under a Trump Administration, all veterans eligible for VA health care can bring their veteran's ID card to any doctor or care facility that accepts Medicare to get the care they need immediately.
Our veterans have earned the freedom to choose better or more convenient care from the doctor and facility of their choice. The power to choose will stop the wait time backlogs and force the VA to improve and compete if the department wants to keep receiving veterans’ healthcare dollars. The VA will become more responsive to veterans, develop more efficient systems, and improve the quality of care because it will have no other choice."

"On June 16th, when we started this journey, there were 17 candidates.
I was told by everybody, 'Do not go to Iowa. You could never finish even in the
top ten.' And I said, 'But I have friends in Iowa. I know a lot of people in Iowa.
I think they'll really like me. Let's give it a shot.' They said, 'Don't do
it.' I said, 'I have to do it.' And, we finished second,
and I want to tell you something,

I'm just honored, I'm really honored."
