A Time for Choosing
Townhall ^ | June 17, 2016 | Mark Davis

Posted on 06/16/2016 9:27:08 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

On Thursday night, I stood on the stage at Gilley’s Southside Ballroom in Dallas, pleased to address a crowd gathered for a Donald Trump rally.

Just over three months ago, I stood on the same stage, pleased to address a crowd gathered for a Ted Cruz rally.

Such has been the journey.

The nominating conventions are next month. Only an indictment can derail Hillary Clinton, and only a coup of epic proportion can thwart Trump. Either one is possible, one supposes, but the likeliest path by far leads to those two squaring off to become the 45th President of the United States.

It is a time for choosing.

No more fence-sitting. No more #NeverTrumpOrHillary, no more conservative hand-wringing over their latest self-imposed obstacles to backing our nominee. The battle is over, Trump has won. There are now two kinds of conservatives: those who can handle that, and those who cannot.

For those who cannot, serious introspection is in order. Failure to back the Republican nominee will lead to a Hillary Clinton presidency, which should be unacceptable to any conservative.

No more convoluted pseudo-analysis over how a Trump presidency somehow damages conservatism or damages the party. This is about the country.

The country must not be savaged by a third Obama term. Whatever baggage clouds the mind of hemming and hawing conservatives, it is time to get over it.

Got concerns over portions of the Trump agenda that might not be conservative? I do, too. Let’s be vocal in our wish for a crack inner circle of sharp minds to guide President Trump toward his best results....

I held my nose when voting for McLame and Mittens, but at least I voted. There are too many, even here, who are happy not to vote if the candidate is not perfect, and don’t care if the Dims win.

Please don’t do that again.

I had the same feelings about Cruz. Unlike Mark Davis I can actually name them and there is no "might not be" about them.

Mark Davis is an establishment RINO Supreme, but apparently, even he sees the light.

Here’s to hoping that more of his ilk follow suit, and wake the hell up. We’re gonna need all hands on deck to prevail in November.

Good stuff.
All the Achilles stubbornly sulking in their tents, if they haven’t made up their minds by Cleveland the worthless sacks never will.
They become RAT, GOP, Hillary lickspittles and anathemas to conservatives.
That includes Georges I, II and III, Cruz, Romney and all their buddies in the “conservative” MSM. They should be on board now, but aren’t. It is infuriating.

“Listening to Davis is about as engertaining as eating dry corn flakes,”

I haven’t given a single minute to this RINO since he left WBAP, but I’m glad to see he’s coming around.

If he’d shown half as much clarity years back, he’d still be the morning drive guy at the big DFW blowtorch.

A major reason Obama won last time is attributed to the 4 million voters from our side who sat out the election because Romney was such a poor choice for our candidate.

Now we have the same possible scenario which could play out and result in a Hillary presidency. These traitors sitting on their high horses hoping to teach the GOPe a lesson are worse than Democrats.

Voting is the EXACT way to teach the lesson that this country is for the people and by the people. Vote them OUT! These lying, mealy mouthed Republicans don’t care who is in the White House as long as they have their jobs and perks in DC and voting them out is the only way to send the message that we are not longer their patsies.

The ones who will be hurt by conservatives sitting out this election and letting Hillary win are the citizens of this country. The welfare state will collapse on its own as we are seeing in countless municipalities and states. Fiscal responsibility will be forced on those who have spent like drunken sailors but we will still be able to pick up the pieces and right the train.

The loss of liberty and rights however, will have far more lasting consequences and will be harder to overcome. Think of Roe v Wade and how hard it’s been to overturn. Like it or not, SCOTUS is the prize in this election and its decisions will make or break our constitution. Turning that over to Hillary and the Dems is tantamount to giving up the country. There will be only one way to retake it and it won’t be at the ballot box.

Trump is far from perfect and certainly not the choice I would have made, but he’s our guy. It’s him or her.

Mark is right, it’s choosing time. We live to fight another day with Trump or we prepare to water the tree of liberty. Live free or die. Period.

Vote Trump

You didn’t write glowing posts, donate money or work the phones for them? I guess I can mail in my worthless CA vote for Trump.
