House Speaker Paul Ryan talks to reporters at the Republican National Committee headquarters on Capitol Hill on June 14, 2016. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite) House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., issued a stern warning Thursday about the rhetoric coming from Donald Trump about the way government should work.

“We will lose our freedoms in this country, including all of the Bill of Rights, if we don’t robustly defend the separation of powers,” Ryan said at his weekly press conference inside the U.S. Capitol.

Ryan was asked by reporters numerous times about Trump’s recent conduct. Just this week, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee questioned whether President Obama actually wants to stop terrorist attacks, accused many American Muslims of sheltering terrorists and said he could act unilaterally as president to prevent any type or class of people from entering the country. Trump made the last claim despite the fact that Article I, Section 8, clause 4 of the Constitution entrusts Congress with the power to “establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.”

This is laughable. They’ve allowed Obama to act like a dictator for 8 years. (because they agree with him)

Ryan is the enemy. Something is very wrong out there, and the populace does not want to see it. They believe that our country is somehow “pure,” and that no one in power really would do it harm.

The president can, and has, barred entry into this country of certain classes of people. Carter did it by barring Iranians, and even reviewed the visas of those already here, and had about 50,000 students and visitors deported. So, Ryan is a total idiot on this issue, and just about all of them. He should just STFU and go back to driving the Oscar Meyer weinermobile.

Well, that was different, because Jimmy Carter was a good Democrat.

If Democrats do anything, then it’s ok. Only if Republicans propose something, is when the liberals go into meltdown outrage mode over something.

Oh really?

DOJ overrules FBI on gun sales debate, says no-fly list can be used for ban

I'm sure Ryan will have plenty to say about that. < /s >

He certainly needs to learn something! This is the same that LOST in a debate with crazy Uncle Joe.

A suggest to all congress critters, future congress critters, fired congress critters. Bone up on our Constitution. Pour over it, memorize it, study it, learn it by memory. Then come back to US and show us what you’ve learned. At that time we will be open to ‘talking with you’.

There is plenty of laws on the books that the President can impose. Congress in the past has passed very stern Immigration Laws along with Quota’s , and these were on force from 1920 to the early 1960’s, so that argument falls flat.

Ryan has no interest in protecting this country. Now we can all discuss how this can work, but there has to be a starting point. Even Trump is open to reasonable discussion, it seems Ryan, McConnell and company are not.

We have a president that operates unilaterally like a Dictator, where is the uproar from Congress on this??????

LOL Ryan has rolled over like a circus trained dog for Obama , but now he’s worried about Trump.

That is probably exactly what Trump is thinking. And, obviously, not just about Ryan. Sadly, a high percentage of pols on “our side” are useless or outright working against our interests.

All any patriot need to know about Lyin’ Ryan is this: has Ryan ever once attacked Obama or any leftist like he attacks Patriots and Trump?

The answer is no.

The only freedom I see at risk is Ryan’s freedom to think he can continue to snooker the American people.

Carter did ban Iranians from entering the country and his DOJ and Treasury heads invalidated all future Iranian visa’s, nor would they reissue or issue any Visa’s from Iran except for humanitarian reasons.

So, they banned a group of People from a particular country; but it didn’t state “all Muslims”. So the media is saying “Trump can’t say bann all Muslims”, etc.

In addition, DOJ ordered all Iranian students with Visa’s to report to immigration immediately to see if they violated their Visa’s. If they did, would be deported, if they failed to report, would be deported when found.

There were also couple of judicial over-throws of his order because some Liberal judge said it was un-constitutional, but he eventually won.
