House Speaker Paul Ryan talks to reporters at the Republican National Committee headquarters on Capitol Hill on June 14, 2016. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite) House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., issued a stern warning Thursday about the rhetoric coming from Donald Trump about the way government should work.

“We will lose our freedoms in this country, including all of the Bill of Rights, if we don’t robustly defend the separation of powers,” Ryan said at his weekly press conference inside the U.S. Capitol.

Ryan was asked by reporters numerous times about Trump’s recent conduct. Just this week, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee questioned whether President Obama actually wants to stop terrorist attacks, accused many American Muslims of sheltering terrorists and said he could act unilaterally as president to prevent any type or class of people from entering the country. Trump made the last claim despite the fact that Article I, Section 8, clause 4 of the Constitution entrusts Congress with the power to “establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.”

So says the jackass who is plotting with the Dems to completely undermine the 2nd Amendment.

This guy can’t be out of office too soon. I’m debating with myself whether I dislike him or Obama or Hillary more (which is quite the dilemma - they are all lower than whale shiite in my book).

Congress is letting all branches of the corrupt federal government get away with stealing 10th Amendment-protected state powers and associated state revenues, and now Ryan is complaining about Trump and separation of powers between branches of federal government.
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

November and Trump cannot come soon enough.

They need to accept that Trump is now the leader of the Republican Party. He makes the rules and he sets the agenda now.

I am so damn sick and tired of these “professional politicians” that are only in DC to fatten their own bellies...I am SO tired of them....

DC needs a thorough house cleaning, but there are too many people in this country on the dole and wanting “gibsmedats” that it can never happen...

Unless things change, I feel my grandkids won’t have a country....

Ryan actually see steps to protect us from Syrian refugees and terror add a threat to the Bill of Rights??

I know he’s a piece of S, but either that or he is an absolute moronic coward when questioned by reporters.

Isn’t OBAMA unilaterally taking in Muslim refugees? Or else Congress had to fund it. How would Trump wishing to reverse that endanger our Bill of Rights??

If this jerk (ie: Ryan) were so concerned about separation of powers, he wouldn't allow funding for Obama's Executive Orders.

One can' help but wonder what the dems have on Ryan.

Ryan is uniting the Trump voters and the Democrats against him- and against many Republican House Members.

If he doesn't stop Pelosi will be running the House next year.

Ryan, tell that to Obama.

They must have an FBI file on Ryan, threatening to release it if he does not go along. Nothing else could explain his idiocy.
