Richard Armitage, who held top national security positions in the administrations of former Presidents George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan, said he would vote for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over her likely Republican rival, Donald Trump.
"If Donald Trump is the nominee, I would vote for Hillary Clinton," Armitage, who served as a deputy secretary of State under Bush and as an assistant secretary of Defense under Reagan, told
Politico on Thursday.
"He doesn't appear to be a Republican. He doesn't appear to want to learn about the issues. So I'm going to vote for Mrs. Clinton."
Clinton hit Trump earlier this month on national security, saying his ideas would put America in greater danger and inspire more terrorist attacks.
"A ban on Muslims would not have stopped this attack," Clinton added on Wednesday, referring to the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla. over the weekend.
"Neither would a wall. I don't know how one builds a wall to keep the internet out," she said. "Not one of Donald Trump's reckless ideas would have saved a single life in Orlando."

There is a cabal planning to deny Trump the nomination. Right now, they are attempting to make it appear as though Trump is unelectable and defections like this one are designed to support that appearance.

Armitage is a gutless wonder who worked for the other gutless wonder Colin Powell. Armitage was the one who outed Valerie Plame and Powell knew it. Yet, both of them sat silent while Scooter Libby was prosecuted. He fits right in with Hillary.

Or want to do business with countries that require government approval.
My guess is that some of his wealth is probably suspect as well.
A question that keeps bugging me......How could anyone be in the congress or in high office in DC for more than one year and not know of the graft practiced by the Clintons and others?
The answer is one of the two or maybe both: If one did not know, one was really stupid and unfit to hold high office of any kind. Or the facts were known but ignored.
Either is intolerable.
