I don’t know but have Tea Party members been on such a “watch list?” I know they were targets of the IRS.
And, from what I understand, the muslim terrorist in San Bernardino didn’t buy their guns from a gun store so there was no background check. They got their guns from other individuals.
Additionally, can Hillary and Obama assure us that weapons cannot enter the USA through Mexico? This should be an easy fix (Build the Wall) if they’re really concerned with weapons coming into this nation.
Very bad idea. Totalitarians love to make lists, and put their enemies on them.

You'll get the same sort of due process that is associated with civil asset forfeiture. You get acccused, and you get to use due process to prove you are innocent. The burden is entirely on you.
Since he announced the meeting I assume he already has a program with the NRA hashed out. My guess? They’ll dress up something already in place and toss it out there.
My suggestion would be to ban all muslims from buying guns. Even better, ban them from coming here.

I don't trust the NRA on this, and I'm very annoyed that Trump would even go there. You don't make America great by giving the government the power to put people on lists and deny them the exercise of their constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Trump is wrong, he needs to ask Obama to address Muslims that they can choose Islam or not. We have the perfect man in Obama who himself chose not to follow his father’s religion, Obama made a choice and he needs to articulate this to the billion or so muslims on earth that they have a choice. Don’t worry about silly assed gun control that appeases Democratic party crazies.

So politically, he can say he’s looking at the issue, but there isn’t enough of an actual piece of legislation to review. Puts the burden right back on Ryan and McConnell.
The HOR Freedom Caucus will put the kibosh on anything bad, particularly in an election year.

Considering that perspective, the intent would be to abuse the terror watch list. Our individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms would not be negotiable, even if I trusted Obama and the minions who work for him. Given their proven duplicity, this proposal has to be killed.
How exactly do people get on this list? Are they notified? How do they get off of it?
Not to mention there is NO due process. How do you get on the list? Do “they” notify you? Or, when you show up for a flight the tsa denies you. How do you get off the list? Who did you PO that got you on the list in the first place. No end to the abuse that could be done with this crap.
Pretty sure they’ll tell Trump about it, which is why he’s brought the issue to them.
There could be an “investigation list” but as soon as the person tries to purchase and gets turned down, the person will know he/she is on that list. Still if that causes the person to lam it out of the country, we might have gained.
The DHS does this, not due to real danger, but to look politically correct.
The Bush did not think ahead very well.
We’ll see if any details come out about this supposed NRA meeting. You could be right.
