If you read the comments for the article you have 50 people repeating the same damn thing, “it wasn’t an assault rifle”. Besides the endless and needless repetition, the comment is technically true from a military perspective, but assault weapons are also defined for legislative purposes in things like “assault weapon ban”. That definition fits the type of weapon that was used, and what the idiot reporter is talking about. Droning on about semantics, like the difference between a clip and a magazine is pointless and are not persuasive. PS-This does not mean I agree with the author, favor assault weapon bans, regulations or limits on mag capacity.

I have an original Model 1870 In GREAT condition (.40/.44).
Per the serial number, it was manufactured in 1890. My father in law and I put about 15 rounds through it in February. It was pretty popular at the range. It’s been in the family since it’s original purchase.
I wish it could talk.
