They’re called semi-automatic rifles, and, according to FBI statistics, more people are killed every year with hammers, fists, even feet than are killed with semi-automatic rifles.

liberals are yelling that buying a gun should be as difficult as getting an abortion. Both constitutional but abortion has a lot of restrictions, guns don’t. Ugh.....I hate liberals.

I actually woke up Saturday morning and thought, “I need to go buy an AR-15 today”. I sold mine a couple years ago when someone offered me $1800 for a $700 rifle and never replaced it.

So, I went out and took some money out of the bank and went to the gun store. A hour later, I walked out with a brand new S&W MP15.

I had to fill out a 4473 that asked a lot of questions. Do a NICS background check. My paperwork was reviewed by three employees, including a manager.

So, yes, an AR-15 was easy to get in Florida. But, it was not without being checked out by several people.

And it was NOT an assault rifle. It was just a rifle.

Criminals and terrorists would have all the guns they wanted and private citizens would not be allowed to protect their homes.

Yep. As intended. Then everyone would become even more dependent on the government. And hey, complain too much and your "protection" drops off.

That's what a "community organizer" in Chicago is. A shakedown artist who sells "protection". Jesse Jackson has made a fortune at it.

Also, it is noteworthy that criminals don't use guns to defend their constitutional liberties so the government doesn't care. They are only a threat to *us* - those who know that 2A is to protect ourselves from government tyranny - it is we that they see as the "threat", not the thieves and murderers.

Our government hates us.

It is trying to disarm us while at the same time fostering those who slaughter us wholesale.

We are going to have to deal with this enemy.

This comment at the article is full of WIN:

Dear AP. The shooter was an armed guard that worked for the department of corrections, a DHS contractor and had a degree in criminal justice. He passed 4 detailed background checks. He was not mentally ill. He used a gun for work. What exactly does anyone think a gun law would do? Even the most restrictive states and countries have armed guards that have guns.

P.S. Some of the victims were killed by police gunfire. What legislation do you propose [that] would fix that?

“while at the same time fostering those who slaughter us wholesale.”

People who know violence, may have already fought in wars, and don’t flinch around weapons. Bringing such people here, ages 15 or younger to 30 is a clear and present danger. It’s designed to be.

Letting in potential terrorist should be as hard as buying a gun. Right? Well, maybe harder.

Yes! Your posts have been right on the money of late. I would like to add that the elite class knows it is criminally stealing us blind and they are scared to death of what will happen if the people ever figure it out. (See French Revolution...)

Could Hillary Clinton walk into a gun store and buy a gun while she is under investigation by the FBI?

Thanks <3

Every now and then I luck out and am able to catch a glimpse of the forest through the trees.

But kidding aside, we are in a situation where we have one mortal enemy working in tandem with another mortal enemy against us, and the media is keeping most from understanding this or seeing it at all.

Frogs in rapidly warming water, we are.

In Florida, buying one is no problem as long as you're 18, a legal resident of the United States, aren't a felon or a domestic abuser and have no documented mental health or substance abuse issues.

Seems I count six criteria you need to pass to buy a gun in Florida...

Plus a bunch of other potential issues not listed...

Including needing a wad of cash or credit...

So it really not "not a problem" to buy a weapon...

Stupid yahoo...

More people are murdered by doctor’s mistakes than automobile accidents, weapons, and fists/feet combined!!!!! And a further slap in the face, try to perform a background check on a doctor!!!!!

What is an assault rifle? Is it similar to a burglary rifle, arson rifle or rape rifle?

All those black rifles look the same, unlike this friendly rifle.

It raises the question as to why a night club was in a ‘gun free zone’

I think that makes the government of Florida liable to civil charges. If the government eliminates a citizen’s ability to defend himself/herself (yes, with guns), then it should a) provide armed security instead and b) pay restorations and damages to all the injured families from this fatality.

It was their fault.
