Trump expanded on that in a statement released Monday night. Here it is, in full:
The Washington Post unfortunately covers Mr. Trump very inaccurately. Today's headline, "Donald Trump Suggests President Obama Was Involved With Orlando Shooting" is a perfect example. We no longer feel compelled to work with a publication which has put its need for "clicks" above journalistic integrity.
They have no journalistic integrity and write falsely about Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump does not mind a bad story, but it has to be honest. The fact is, The Washington Post is being used by the owners of Amazon as their political lobbyist so that they don't have to pay taxes and don't get sued for monopolistic tendencies that have led to the destruction of department stores and the retail industry.

WaPo made this bed on purpose. 20 reporters were assigned to do what is effectively opposition research on Trump. Meanwhile, Hillary would require 20 researchers just to properly index her scandals, but none appear to be assigned to that task at all.
If WaPo wants to be seen as anything other than an extension of the Clinton campaign, a radical change in behavior is in order.
I didn’t bother wasting the stamp to return my amazon cc.
I just called them up and ranted for about 5 minutes and told them to close the account.
Horrible, horrible billing. Twice amazon didn’t send me a bill.
They once sent a bill that was three month old when the account actually had a zero balance.
I.
WAS.
LIVID.
I’m done with Amazon.
Go Donald!
From the article: It’s how things work. It’s how things have always worked. The media’s job isn’t to simply write down whatever the candidate says and regurgitate it. The candidate’s job isn’t to kowtow to the media or do and say things the way he or she thinks the media wants to hear.

After eight years of stenography for Obama, they are discovering what their job should be? Give me a break!
You don’t have the right to print lies about me and have it come with the expectation of unfettered access to me.
If you’re not going to tell the truth and do your job, well that burdens you more than it hurts me.
When all is said and done, who you do think the American people hate more? Game, set and match.
The Washington Post’s whining over the cancellation of their press credentials re the Trump campaign is their problem.
Freedom of the press implies an obligation by the press to tell the truth and to be unbiased.
1. Yes, it bothers me he has waited this long.
2. In another sense, what are you crybabies upset about? You can watch the speeches on the internets like most of us.
3. Most of your propaganda is already written--you just fill in different quotes, names, and times. Don't pretend you don't have a bias against Donald Trump. You do. So you have reaped what you sowed.

It does. OK, I'm over it!
That should bother me. I guess I am wrong in the head. Because this doesn’t bother me at all.
Journalistic integrity is an oxymoron.
And this has WHAT to do with the article?
Doesn’t bother me
GO TRUMP
Folks, this is good news. Trump is giving us some leverage to discipline the Washington Post. And why are they complaining? There are thousands of news outlets on the web who would love to get access to Trump's events. What's the matter, Chris? Afraid you won't enjoy any more sips of Trump wine? It's a free country. Trump has every right to restrict his events to anyone. He paid for that microphone! Hey Chris, you are still free to write anything you want about Trump. In fact, you don't really need press access at all since Trump is email circulating the transcripts of all his speeches now so everyone who wants to read them. There's no need for people to get their news through the Washington Post's biased filter -- unless they want to. The Washington Post is a sham anyway. It only became famous because of Watergate. And since Deep Throat revealed his identify, we now know that WaPo was simply aided the partisan voice by an ex-FBI official who was trying to prevent Nixon from putting an end to J. Edgar Hoover's massive power. Now my FRiends is a fine time to boycott Amazon. If you have buy something from them, then consider a competitor like Ebay or go to a brick and mortar store. Bezos is targeting Trump 24/7, it's time to hit back! |
Perhaps they want to attend in order to pull another Michelle Fields-type stunt.
Trump made the right call.
This banning of the Post does truly bother me.
He didn’t include NYT, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC.
This just isn’t right.
Not bothered. Only upset that the entire GOP
is not tarred and feathered, run out of town,
and then imprisoned for life.
During WW2 the people of Britain were barred from tuning in to Hitler’s propaganda broadcasts. Was anyone bothered?
Folks still tuned in anyway when they wanted to laugh at Lord Haw-Haw.
