Donald Trump’s speech on national security, which he delivered the day after the terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida, will change the dynamic of this election.
The speech was specific, detailed, and on the money. Trump showed how strategic securing the border is, how important stopping immigration from terror zones like Syria is, and how deadly political correctness has become. Political correctness – which transforms the Islamic world, which has a lot to answer for, from aggressors into innocent victims – functions as a shield for Islamic terrorists, and handcuffs law-abiding citizens prompting them not to report suspicious activities by Muslims for fear of being called racist.
Trump was especially courageous (and politically incorrect) in pointing out that the Muslim communities in which the terrorists operate know what is going on but don’t say anything. What a contrast with Hillary’s speech today, which focused on reinforcing political correctness – attacking so-called assault rifles, as though guns and not fanatics were the problem, and emphasizing the importance of not alienating Muslims by acknowledging that a large and growing segment of the Islamic world is at war with us. What contempt for Muslims who are also victims of Islamic terror!

That was a word that came to me too as I read the speech -- courageous. It's also a speech that shows great respect for the American public because it is totally honest.
Agree with Horowitz on all points.
It’s academic. No border, no country. Immigration should be based on a referendum. We choose who, when, and how many.
I wonder if any of the members of the LGBT Against Islamophobia facebook page are rethinking their position.
By now most observers must realize that Trump has all his opponents up against the ropes, where even they must be asking themselves whether they should just shut the (blank) up and not further embarrass themselves. The number of embarrassments now is clearly in double digits where the PC crowd (both liberals and Republicans) have gleefully proclaimed that Trump has done it to himself. Just as their celebration was gearing up on Judge Curiel, wham!, the old bugaboo immigration came back and delivered a sharp upper cut square to the jaw and the the PC crowd hit the mat yet again. This latest sensational event with the Islamist terrorist and the LGBT community is just breathtaking. Two politically correct classes united in a holocaust Which side should the PC crowd be on? Not to make light of the awful carnage, but if you do not see the amazing political impact on the PC crowd, you are not paying attention.
Trump will make believers of even the most cynical critics before he is through because by now they have to sense there is something going on beyond their earthly power to control. Though they would never admit it, the political elites who have claimed to be able to stop time on the floor of Congress must find the whole experience extremely frustrating, perplexing, and, yes, even humbling.
Maybe not the greatest analogy for hitting recent home runs. Ruth hasn’t hit one in over 80 years. :) Let’s use a more recent slugger. How about we use Frank Robinson instead?
But it was a very necessary speech, a good performance by Trump, and it is clear that he intends to at least try to protect us.
NBC brought on Hugh Hewitt to bash Trump but all he did was praise him. Brian Williams was stunned.
Hillary is a money whore to the extreme. She would sell out her own mother to ISIS. That’s what I think Benghazi was all about, she made some kind of deal with Al-Qaeda to look the other way.
There is no “HUMBLE” in the House of Representatives, The Senate, The Executive, nor the Supreme Court.
They all know what’s best for you don’tcha know.
