Excuse me? Do not project your lack of moral clarity on me.

I simply asked you to explain why you're not killing fags, and instead holding back to a moral limit that denies you that act. After all, you're the one that mocked the very idea that homosexuals should be treated with any respect at all. So explain yourself, instead of playing word games about projection.

I've found it's not worth my time to acknowledge people whose posts are so laced with hyperbole, presumption, and disingenuousness that they find alternative views incomprehensible apart from their ingrained prejudices.

Suffice to say, you are obviously a western version of those muslim kids that can watch a beheading without qualm.

Says the person who wrote: "Are you forgetting exactly what “gay,” is? For you to use the phrase “violation of human decency” in defense of sodomy is indicative of just how far we’ve fallen."

And then you 1) Won't exterminate the "sodomists" who you claim don't deserve human decency, but 2) Refuse to explain what moral line of decency does apply that keeps you from exterminating them, and 3) Call my observation of your rank hypocrisy and cowardice over not doing your duty to rid the world of, to you, literally inhuman scum, "hyperbole, presumption, and disingenuousness."

LOL, hypocrite.

Suffice to say, you are obviously a western version of those muslim kids that can watch a beheading without qualm.

Suffice to say, you are obviously a western version of those muslim Imams that can order a beheading without qualm - as long as you don't have to do it yourself.

Congratulations - you're what's wrong with the entire world.

Reminds me of an encounter my wife once had with a lesbian supervisor: the supervisor recommended "Queer As Folk" when it was on television. When she asked how my wife liked it, wife said she did NOT approve of the show. Of course, the supervisor got on her high horse and asked "WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?" To which my wife replied: "they seem to think nothing of having 17 year olds hanging out in the bar to be 'approached.'"

My work partner's brother pretty my went the same way. Was a homosexual experimenting with child porn (young boy mastrubation videos) until the FBI caught him. Now he's doing a solid 5 - 7 years in the federal pen, thankfully before he molested some kid.

If only someone had cared enough (earlier in his life) to tell him homosexuality was a mental illness and wrong, maybe he would have sought treatment and been spared prison.

My God, you’re a textbook case of idiocy.

You don’t get to tell me what my demeanor on a given subject is, then challenge me to explain why I’m not living up to your presumption.

Buffoon.

As for the rest of your rant (a thinly veiled “I know you are, but what am I): such petulance.

Next time, try ASKING, jackass.

There’s a big difference between child molestation and sexual deviancy among consenting adults.

Aren't they both born "that way"?

But one is imprisoned for his birth defect while the other is fiercely defended by likes of you?

My disgust, however, is not what Jim McGreevy and Tim Cook want to do with each other in some rest area toilet, with each other or a 1,000 other "men," very loosely speaking.

What angers me is the witchhunt that inevitably follows, the seeking out and destroying of those who don't care to cater, bow, grovel and submit to degenerates like them.

One of the things my wife and I had to get worked out before we had children was the family demeanor toward the potentiality of a homosexual child.

My wife, as a typical Gen Xer, would acknowledge that homosexuality is wrong, but that acknowledgement came with so many caveats I finally had to ask her “how do you intend to teach them there is anything wrong with it?”

Needless to say, she had no answer because her opinion was formed by indoctrination rather than thought, reflection, and study.

I’m proud to say, while she obviously still feels the pull of social acceptance, she has come to see some of the concomitant traits that go along with homosexuality as corrosive to the human psyche, regardless of the religious taboos.

Ironic, isn't it. Good becomes Evil. Darkness becomes Light.

Yeah, I didn't think you could defend your own words. People don't tend to call you on your crap do they?

Must really tick you off, me not knowing my place and all.

I’m not defending or supporting any sexual behavior. I’m objecting to a website intruding into private individuals’ personal lives for the sake of prurient interest and profit.

My but you have a high opinion of yourself!

I can, and have successfully "defended my own words" here for almost twenty years now. What I can not, and will not defend is what you make of those words.

And no, I don't usually get called on my "crap," because I approach this forum rationally and not full of bromides and tropes to take the place of cogent thinking.

The biggest challenge with crusaders of agnosticism like you is breaking your pop culture certitude to get you to examine your own prejudices rather than tilt at the windmills of mine.

I know someone who was ‘outed’ back in the early 90’s, when a lot of this was going on; and he was outed by other homosexualists, which I thought especially vicious.

It changed his life drastically. An argument can be made that it only drives people who might choose differently further into the culture and lifestyle; because they’ve been ‘pegged’.

It’s a very mean thing to do.

This is a distinction without difference when you adopt the philosophy of the original poster's "statement of principle."

Forcibly outing a man as gay is a sickening violation of human decency, but how fortunate and poetic that the victim had the means and desire to retaliate.
Putting sodomy in the same category as privacy is like putting arson in the same category as cooking.

And I’m objecting to vindictive, well-funded faggots attacking and destroying American traditions, institutions and private businesses.

Because Christians are notorious for holding a grudge in spite of repentance :-/

The fact that one would go "further into the culture" makes your contention "they might choose differently" simply absurd. The argument is flawed by definition.

Folks who save their kisses for plague rats and their slaps for religion should be examined whether they’re speaking through a closet door.

10% of the degradation of our culture is due to rats. 90% to people who carry their fleas. Since the Black Death this rule for infecting a civilization has not changed.
