Likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton holds about a 4-point lead over presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in Michigan, according to a poll unveiled Wednesday.
Mrs. Clinton had a 43 percent to 38.5 percent edge over Mr. Trump, according to the poll of 600 likely voters in the state released to the Detroit News and WDIV-TV.

Yup.
I wouldn’t bet the farm on IL flipping, but with the scandals on the ground around IL and Hillary being a weak candidate, even with ties to the area, I think IL won’t be an automatic this cycle.
Haven’t been any polls there since March... which do show Clinton with a solid lead, but I would keep an eye on the state.
Poll, shmoll.
It is truly ironic that Hillary Clinton's strongest allies this time around have been Republicans who spent the majority of their Primary cash damaging Trump. Bill Kristol, Mitt Romney, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, the Bush clan, and many others who have gone underground at this point have demonstrated for all how deluded they truly are.
To me the most interesting fall from Grace are the Bush's who have always done their best to avoid saying anything negative about Obama but have unloaded on Trump. History will not be kind to either President Bush, Jeb will never be taken seriously again and whatever political hopes there were for the next generation are now dashed for at least the next 20 or so years. It reminds me a bit of the Jacobites trying to get the exiled Roman Catholic Stuarts back on the throne in England. It is hard to believe that before Trump, a year ago Jeb was the front runner. Thank goodness they blew it big time and have stained whatever legacy they had.
I guess talk of Trump taking MI was premature with so many Wolverines, especially in Detroit, solidly for Mrs. Bill.
Wouldn't it be rest to replace Johnson in the primary? I don't think he has any chance at all.
*SIGH* Nah, Johnson has a chance and is campaigning hard in WI.
If you knew Rusty Feingold like I do, you’d be worried, too. I had to deal with that D*CK as my Senator during Operation Desert Storm, when I was running eight Family Assistance Centers for military families in our state.
He absolutely LOATHED giving us any money - which was, in total about $30K, and his hatred for the Military (and their families, in general) was palpable.
Feingold is a loathsome ‘Rat TOOL!
Yep - and these polls are way too early for a good snapshot. We had to wait until about March to see that Cruz wasn't going to surge and will have to wait until at least mid-August to get a clearer picture.
I predict these are not only some of the worst polls for Hillary so far, but that they are the best of those to come....
Donald has a lot more upside than Hillary does.
These two person match up polls are meaningless, IMO. Until Sanders is out of the race, the real picture won’t emerge.
Then we’ll know what % of Sanders’ voters will go to Clinton and what % will go to Trump.
according to the poll of 600 likely voters in the state released to the Detroit News and WDIV-TV. ........................... ?? Detroit? Detroit is part of the state, did they poll people in Detroit? Probably most of them were from the inner city?
Gosh we’re really doomed!
HilLIARy is sure going to win it all...
You can do ANYTHING but don’t run HilLIARy against us!
Looks like those 900 FBI files only have a shelf life of a decade or so, and they don’t work to blackmail the entire population...
Count on the Dems to toss her overboard. They could at least PRETEND Jimmuh Carter was going to beat Reagan- they can’t even pretend HilLiARy is going to win (not with a straight face)
margin of error is 4 points. match-up is effectively tied. and yeah, as others have said, Michigan SHOULD be in the tank for Crooked Hillary. MORE very bad news for the most qualified person to every run for President.
Current polls show NJ in play for Trump big time:
