Look at all these bikers, Mr. Trump, standing before a crowd in front of the Lincoln Memorial, said with admiration. Do we love the bikers? Yes. We love the bikers.
Mr. Trump was addressing a gathering at the 29th annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle run, a vast event over Memorial Day weekend that is dedicated to accounting for military members taken as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action.

I’m looking forward to the exploding of Euroweenie heads.
L
And the hit pieces keep coming.
Yeah, it’s “open ground” but bikes need paved roads to get there.
Already, the spin begins.
This was an interesting line in a story about the rally:
“...a commentator mentioned that ‘Donald Trump managed to find a sympathetic crowd today ...’...”
He “managed” to find.....
What a horse sh!t writer!!!!!!!
I live for that day.
The current crapaganda is that “no one was blocked/waiting” because it’s “open space”.
Yeah, on a trike I can go off road just fine.
My two wheeled brethren are not so blessed.
The roads were blocked.
No roads, no access.
Bastards.
I would hazard a guess that only those who got there in time to *walk* could make it.
At 2pm, the bikes were still rolling, on the route, so I’m hearing.
Should have had his speech much later so others could park and walk.
Unless you’ve done the ride, you have no idea how crazy it is and how much time it takes to get there, get parked/settled and walk to where you want to be.
Two hours was not near enough time.
He knew.
I was watching the speech live. He did not say specifically that the streets had been blocked, but that the crowds who expected to come to the Mall had been disallowed entrance. He suggested that we have another one next year - with entrance open - “y’all will behave right?”
It was a very warm speech and he mentioned the many who were outside the venue desiring to get in.
The idiots at the New York Times apparently do not realize that basically anyone who has ever been involved with POW/MIA organizations cannot stand McCain. McCain did everything possible to keep what the Pentagon knew about prisoners who were left behind from public view. He also belittled those who had missing family members. Yet the article mentions repeatedly what Trump said about McCain and the authors seemed baffled that no one at the gathering seemed to care.

I've read that before, but why would he do that ? You'd expect the opposite.
Dittos. :)
He’s a freaking lunatic.
“We should not fear an Obama presidency”.
Ugh.
He all but handed over the election, with that stupid ass statement.
Detest that weirdo.
Trump was right.
McCain was a “hero” only for getting shot down....*yet again*.
And that was just a partial view of parking lot.
I’ve been on this run, back when there were far fewer riders.
They put us everywhere.
We were not in the lot, on the last one.
We were sitting on the grass, alongside the actual Pentagon, staring at the gaping hole, from 9/11.
Mega dittos.
;)
I read through three pages of the comments section in that article.
Wow.
Guardian readers are sure full of themselves, aren’t they? “We’re the best and brightest minds, just ask us!”
The vast majority of them would soil themselves if they were within arm’s length of a group of ten or more ‘bikers’.
I’ve read that before, but why would he do that ? You’d expect the opposite.
McCain has a history of being difficult to get along with. I am not sure why he chose to lock heads with the POW/MIA groups and families. It does seem bizarre to say the least. But there are still a lot of hard feelings in the community even these days, which somehow doesn’t get mentioned to put Trump’s comments about him in context.
The other thing that never seems to get mentioned was McCain’s role in a terrible fire that killed 134, seriously injured another 161 crewmen and caused $72 million dollars in damage ($511 million in todays dollars) aboard the USS Forrestal. The missile that started the fire was launched from McCain’s airplane. Many people still feel that McCain somehow screwed up, that there was a whitewash that protected the Admiral’s son and that the missile did not launch itself.
Keyboard commandos.
[bless their hearts]
And not one whiny protester, throwing rocks or burning flags.
Go figger.
:)
Aw, man.
Just read this.

Rest his soul.
Was this the doing of Obama's minion Jarvis again?
