Bill Kristol Claiming He Has An Independent Candidate
Twitter ^ | May 29, 2016 | Pinkbell

Posted on 05/29/2016 2:56:32 PM PDT by Pinkbell

Per Twitter

"Just a heads up over this holiday weekend: There will be an independent candidate--an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance."

-Bill Kristol

Who is it, Mittens?

This absolutely disgusts me. This fool is going to cost us the election because he and some bitter Cruz supporters didn't get their way. He knows it will split the vote and we won't win. A few things:

1)He wants to cause enough of a vote split where no candidate has the 270. Ok. Let's say he does that. He will literally be usurping the will of all the people who voted for Trump in the primaries and general (which will be way more than his guy).

2)That assumes his candidate will even win one state. I would venture to guess his candidate won't win a single state but will divide the votes enough to help Hillary.

3)Maybe he wants Hillary. I had a Cruz supporter tell me on Twitter he'd rather 4 years of Hillary (he says it will only be 4 years) and 2 Supreme Court picks from her (he insists it will only be 2) so he can get a conservative like Cruz in 4 years.

Somewhere Hillary is cackling at the stupid party and "principled" conservatives who are willing to torpedo Trump to get all or nothing.

Let's hope either Bill is bluffing or this fails. Even Trump the other day seemed to concede it would give Hillary the election.

It takes a special kind of elitist attitude to usurp the voters of your own party and tell them you know better.

Apologize for him all you want, you only make yourself look more foolish.

Cruz? Kristol? Different tactics with the same goal.

He ain’t got the memo that he is no longer relevant.

Actually, it is so obvious that nobody even bothered to write the memo. Seriously, who even listens to this Putz anymore?

“Hasn’t Forbes endorsed Trump?’

Nope, if you read his comments over the past 6 month's he has hardly been a Trump fan...

I think hyper-insular Kristol, and his International man of Mystery will get such blowback, that the campaign won’t last two weeks. If anyone approaches me to sign a petition for said mystery man to get on the ballot in California I will tell them to stick the petition where the sun don’t shine. I know The Beast has a gimme here, but there is a principal involved.

Isn’t Kristol old enough to retire???? I am 51 years old and i have heard this weiner lipped dingleberry spew his crap long enough...get off the stage...Nobody of my generation or this generation even remotely cares what you have to say! I mean come on! He wore out his welcome in the late 90’s...he is sucking fumes. Who buys those edited to death magazines anymore??? I don’t...How does he stay relevant???

“And Irving Kristol spoke highly of Trotsky.”

He certainly did. The first neocons were neo-commmunists in their youth. And plenty of the younger ones have their own roots in the Left.

Michael Medved was a Hanoi supporting ‘antiwar activist’ who went on the work for Red Ron Dellums. The first cover story smearing Buchanan as an anti-Semite was published in Commentary Magazine by one Joshua Muravchik, the one time leader of the Young People’s Socialist League. Charles Krauthammer was a speechwriter for Mondale trying to defeat Ronald Reagan’s second term, although that’s more a liberal than a Leftist thing.

But you get the point, plenty of these neocons are far from admirable and yet they pass themselves as “conservatives” while working to push the GOP to the left. No borders, amnesty, no opposition to gay marriage or most any other social issue that the Left wants to impose in their war against the old America.

I can’t wait til Kristol and Romney are not part of the discussion any longer. I’m sick of them both. We need to put those so called conservative rag publications out of business.

“telling him (Quayle) to go to a school and spell potato”

Quayle got a bad rap for that. His spelling was correct, although not the #1 preferred spelling. Until the early ‘90s.

“The alternate spelling “potatoe,” while uncommon, was still used infrequently at that time (the 1990s). For example, the New York Times was still occasionally spelling potato with an -e as late as 1988. Spellings of “potatoe” can be found in the media all the way up to 15 June 1992, the date of the Quayle incident, at which point they suddenly stopped except when used in an ironic way.”

“here is only one reason for these phony “conservatives” not to support Trump, that he is a nationalist, not a globalist.”

Bingo. These New World Order elitists do NOT care about the United States or us. All they care about is getting their One World Government, at all costs.

Actually Dubya surrounded himself with neocon advisors. It’s why he pushed for amnesty. It’s why he wanted to go on the nation building adventure in Iraq. Natan Sharansky’s book ‘ The Case for Democracy: The Power of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny and Terror ‘ was seminal in convincing Bush of the ‘Democracy Project’ lunacy.

“In the book, Sharansky and Dermer argue that the primary goal of American foreign policy, as well as that of the free world, should be the expansion of democracy. The book advocates a moral foreign policy based on belief in the universality of freedom and human rights. Sharansky and Dermer argue that nations that respect their citizens will also respect their neighbors. The book is sub-titled, The Power of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny and Terror. The authors express passionate and controversial arguments against any compromise on the road to freedom.

It has been read and famously endorsed by former United States president George W. Bush. Other members of his administration, including former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, have also read the book.”

“George W. Bush offered praise for the book:

“If you want a glimpse of how I think about foreign policy, read Natan Sharansky’s book, The Case for Democracy. ... For government, particularly – for opinion makers, I would put it on your recommended reading list. It’s short and it’s good. This guy is a heroic figure, as you know. It’s a great book.”

We should all remember what Kristol tried to do here, even when he fails.

Oh, we will.

Forever.

Well, I guess we should tell that to Kristol who still makes jokes about his idiocy - ignoring the embarrassment and chagrin he brought to the life and career of Dan Quayle.

I must admit the only way I’ve spelled potato is without the ‘e’ and I’m an English major. The ‘e’ is only added in the plural.

Admiral Stockdale was a genuine war hero. He was the senior POW in the Hanoi Hilton as well. He shouldn’t be mocked by conservatives who know nothing of him other than the VP role that he did not want and did not seek and did as a favor to a friend.
