North Carolina police pulls out of Republican National Convention (NAACP same week Cincinnati)

A North Carolina police department backed out of sending 50 police officers to the Republican presidential convention in Cleveland in June over concerns about whether the city is prepared to host an event

Cleveland's police force will wear “softer” uniforms at the beginning of the RNC, rather than adopting a military-style approach that might inflame tensions. Tampa police took a similar approach during the 2012 RNC. The officers in softer uniforms will wear their body cameras... Should protesters clash with police, officers will dress in riot gear and administer crowd control tactics.

People need to understand that the violence is planned and coordinated for their benefit and the cameras. It’s not spontaneous. These so called “protesters” are going there to start a riot and cause mayhem. No doubt the instigators are paid.

Is this like Baltimore, where local government came out and stated they were allowing the rioters, “Space” to destroy?

There is another factor. That is Governor John Kasich

He has state police to be committed to relieve the locals of such tasks as traffic control etc and allow the locals on the front line.

Kasich is in effect host. If it gets real bad, he can call his national guard that assuredly will be on standby

Kasich will do everything in his power to sabotage Trump.

I don’t think so.

First and foremost he is a governor and the convention goers are his guests. Second he is a Republican and will not allow the Republican party to be tarnished. It is his sworn duty to protect all who are there including the nominee. He will not allow himself to be destroyed by anarchist and rioters

Kasich knew it would end with another being the nominee. His actions are to get a good job in what ever Republican administration that is formed

So why has Kasich not ordered the locals to wear their body cameras?

There's no way that [police] have enough people doing video to cover what body cameras would cover,

There's likely to be hundreds of new Youtube videos the next day.....just check them out.

So the governor host is helpless, but he is able to order in the National Guard but is unable to request/order the locals to wear their body cameras?

Come on.

Yet if there are any that incriminate the thugs (or exonerate the cops), they’ll yank the video for being “raciss”.

You need to take a civics course.

Governors command the National guard and state police

Mayors command the police except for elected sheriffs

A course in civics? Like the all the lawyer politicians live by right? How about Fraud 101 bert?

You're suggesting governor of the state has no business or is simply legally blocked or so afraid of the Mayor that the governor would never even consider simply calling the mayor and having a discussion? The governor is too afraid to ask the mayor why the cops would not be wearing cameras at this historic event that they wear daily while on duty anyway? Come on.

Ya ever notice these politicians seemed blocked, handcuffed and helpless to do anything. They all seem totally helpless, yet they all seem to have a built in excuse to just do as they please anyway when it benefits them. Very odd.
