South Africa’s parliament has approved a bill allowing the government to expropriate land in the public interest.
The new measure will allow a compulsory purchase of lands and give more ownership to blacks.
As a result of colonial dispossession and apartheid, 87 percent of South African land is owned by whites and only 13 percent by blacks.
The governing party ANC said the law would tackle injustices imposed by white-minority rule. However, the main opposition Democratic Alliance opposed the bill.
According to the BBC South Africa, land is an emotive issue in the Southern African country 22 years after the end of apartheid.

Of course what probably will end up happening is what the Bolsheviks did in Russia. Promise land to the peasants only to wind up nationalizing the land and creating collective farms.

When the Chinese show up in force,they’ll just shoot the blacks.
Immediate signal to Whites: Stop investing in or maintaining your land. Run it into the ground and get all the short-term profit you can out of the country. Turn out the lights as you leave for the last time. Don’t stay too long or you will die on your land.

Trump can’t get into office too soon. The ANC junta can’t be supported internationally in this. Afrikaners are already listed as an unrepresented people, and their position on the genocide clock is not good. English-speaking white South Africans were mostly the ones supporting selling out to the Mandela-led terrorists, and are mostly the ones able to establish themselves in places like Canada, England, and Australia when things went predictably the way they would. What are the Afrikaners supposed to do?
Unfortunately too many think that whites in South Africa are getting their “Just Desserts.”
This is such BS. When the dutch arrived there was only one black tribe, a small nomadic hunter gatherer. That tribe is still in SA, but still a nomadic tribe. The other blacks that came down from the north, not even in SA, started coming down when they heard of the whites and their cities. They created such distress, the dutch South Africans refused to let them to stay in their cities permanently, but gave them each lands of their own. That’s how lesotho, swaziland and other sovereign states in SA came to be.
The current President never graduated second grade, is illiterate and hates the whites and blames them for all their ills.
That’s what I remember, it’s been awhile.

...and like Zimbabwe, the deeds to vast tracts of expropriated land will probably end up registered to the elite of the ruling leftist political party.
The economy may collapse, but it will still be a windfall for the clique at the top.

To arrive at that statistic they have to make the claim that South Africa does not possess the Black Tribal Homelands but the anti-apartheid activists always claimed it did possess the tribal homelands. Thus Transkei, and all the others are now counted separately when it suits the Blacks in making up a more favorable statistic.
That was my first thought as well.
