I had not previously heard of this Texas preacher. He was one of the Evangelicals called into that special meeting with Trump, and relates some of what transpired in their meeting with him. IMO, he makes some thought-provoking points. I enjoyed hearing a bit about what went on in that meeting!

Too bad Ted Cruz was lounging poolside in Mexico last week and was unable to “speak” to our Constitutional rights in the U. S. Senate when they are were under assault yet again. That you give him a pass for playing hookey and missing a critical vote tells me that your support of Cruz has nothing to do with principles or Conservatism.
What Cruz does is between him, and God and his constituents in Texas. I’m sure he’d rather still be campaigning for President.
The purpose of this thread was to give Cruz supporters pause to consider what one of their “own”, a Texan Christian preacher, had to share.
He shared his view that God was using Trump in the same manner as he used Cyrus in Isaiah 45, and, if that was the case, then it behooves Christians to stop opposing Trump, and get behind God’s plan.

Pretty clear the Cruz Cult wants a Pastor in Chief. Unfortunately for them we don’t elect one.
A large THANK YOU for this post. There is so much shared here which was felt but never understood completely. Who are we humans to question what tool God uses to complete a task? Trump was felt to be an answer to our prayers almost immediately. Several years ago this was not the case. Something had changed. His running felt ‘right’.

It is my hope that those who oppose Mr. Trump because they see him as not Christian, might consider this different perspective, as presented by one of their fellow Cruz-supporting pastors.
