(CNSNews.com) - As part of its efforts to address climate change the Obama administration has designated May 23-27, 2016, as Extreme Heat Week.

According to the White House, the five-day span is dedicated to having federal agencies work with communities to “enhance preparedness for extreme heat events.”

In recognition, the government has launched the National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS) website this week. The website was created through a joint effort by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“NIHHIS is an integrated system that builds understanding of the problem of extreme heat, defines demand for climate services that enhance societal resilience, develops science-based products and services from a sustained climate science research program, and improves capacity, communication, and societal understanding of the problem in order to reduce morbidity and mortality due to extreme heat,” the website says.

That explains the bizarre cold snap here.

Good grief. Another alphabet agency?

There are way too many already.

Heat waves from the past...

NYC: 1879, 1882, 1883, 1895, 1896( a brutal one!), 1900, 1936, 1937, 1972.

Michigan: 1962, 1963.
Tulsa OK: 116 degrees in 1936 and 1984. I remember downtown Tulsa at 105 degrees May 5, 1972.

I think I can pinpoint the primary source of the extreme hot air. It’s a white building at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in Washington DC. . .

For once, Obama has a point:

We're all going to die on Thursday!

THANK GOD !! I have been freezing my ass off the last few weeks here in Seattle. I have to wear my insulated leather jacket when I take the dog for a walk in the evenings. Glad to know that Obama is on it and about to deliver warmer weather ... oh, that’s not what this is? Crap.

The temp has been in the mid 60’s and will be around 72
by the 27th here in So. California - below normal.

This is just another of their attempts to reinforce the big lie by pushing the propaganda in so many different ways that people eventually assume it must be true. “Settled science” doesn’t need a PR campaign.

Well, no, because then it would just be “summer”.

But, people might feel hot and think there’s something to it. “Hottest summer on record,” which of course they’ll say, might seem plausible.

In May... parts of the country are cool and wet, even occasionally snowy.

I’m sitting here with a nice cool breeze coming through the open windows. Try for the first week of August if they’re serious about extreme heat. Back in the summer of 1980 it was 117 and, with no a/c, I sat in front of the open fridge with nothing on but a wet towel. That means the temperature has dropped in the past 36 years.

What a bunch of double talk, leftist horsecrap! I had no idea Obama had Professor Irwin Corey as AGW advisor.
