Sorry. I'm just tired of all the Baltimore-bashing from people who have never lived here. I love Baltimore, with all its warts. It has its problems, for sure, but it's been a great place to live and work. My kids, all grown now, love the city, too.

I know it's liberal. That part I hate. But that's not the whole story of the city, and I really get angry when who know nothing more about the city than the fact that it's liberal trash it for that fact alone.

Check out this list of Baltimore's Charms.

I agree, basically, of COURSE we ought to care.

Baltimore may have charms but the more important thing is for Baltimore to learn once more about God’s charms.

I see nothing on the list that sets Baltimore apart from, say, Seattle, also liberal, with a nearly identical list if you substitute local names. I avoid all larger cities myself but would favor Seattle of this pair because far fewer dangerous people inhabit the local environs.

Any city who gave us Babe Ruth and HL Mencken is fine in my book!
