Mitt Romney may be the #NeverTrump movement’s last chance for a third party bid.
Anti-Trump conservatives have so far been unsuccessful in recruiting a candidate to mount a third party run against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Gen. James Mattis said no thanks. Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse said he is too busy raising his children to run for president. Former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn said he is not interested.

Granted.... But what was in Benghazi, aside from the deaths of Americans, that would cause a candidate to go soft... We have never been told what really was going on in Benghazi... Not even by Republican controlled Congress.
I don’t see Romney running 3rd Party.
I do see him having gone through some of the initial steps to position himself as a credible spoiler to Trump, thereby creating leverage to negotiate with Trump over the direction a Trump Presidency and GOP would take.
I see a LOT of political kabuki theater (or close to it) going on within the GOP right now to establish negotiating positions to effectively deal with Trump.
Now Mittens has the lefties on his side. Next logical step would be for him to become one of them.
Instead of a third party, I think the Republicans need a purge, an enema, new leadership, and less douche-baggery. They have been tone deaf, downright nasty to the TEA Party, and overly protective of the elite donor class. It seems that the only effort of a creating a “larger tent” fell on deaf ears - no one seemed to know what that meant, except letting in those icky great unwashed people who were not able to toe the rock-ribbed, big “C” Conservative line. They may have learned how to win some elections, but fell on their faces when trying to govern. Rebuild, renew, have a Trump-led coupe, and get moving. We have no time to waste.

I have seen/read nothing yet that Stevens was stopping anything... I think the weapons depot got hijacked and Stevens was a casualty in the hijacking... IIRC the ambassador from Turkey had just left a meeting with Stevens when the hijacking took place... I think the reason why NO help was sent was because help would have lit up the whole region... Benghazi by the sea was weapons depot for Obama and lord McCains rebels.. passing out Muammar al-Gaddafi weapons . But someone else hijacked the weapons...
I thought I read recently that Romney gave up this insanity — I think some people are upset and want to keep pushing, hoping he’ll change his mind again.

More likely, Obama, Hillary, McCain, Graham, et al, were selling the weapons to the terrorists, shipping through Turkey to Syria, and the terrorists just decided they didn't want to pay for them anymore.
Arms trafficking to enemy combatants is a death penalty offense.
