True. I am curious what the answer is now, though. I flew from Paris to Minnesota on Monday. Full flight and 75% were Americans. How easy would it have been for someone to have planted something and killed a flight of Americans? The obvious answer is, Very Easy.
What do we do to stop it? Banning muslim’s won’t work. Close off our borders and don’t allow anyone in or out of the country for work, vacations, etc? Nope. I actually wonder what the “fix” is?
It looks like a failed 9/11 style hijacking. Israel isn’t too far away.
My unit went to the MFO in the Sinai in late '85. The Egyptian Government claimed the airport at Ras Nasrani near Sharm el Sheikh was "under repair" and could not accomodate the DC8 Stretch were were on. We landed in Cairo and took Egypt Air 737.
The takeoff was like nothing I've ever experienced in a commercial airliner. Felt like we stood on tail and pulled 2 Gs. I know the 737 doesn't have an afterburner but it sure felt like it. The flight was filled with zig-zag moves, both laterally and vertically. The landing was a mirror image of the takeoff, we all thought we were gonna die. I joked with one of the females that she must have cheated at the "You have to be this tall to ride this ride" sign in Cairo.
Not saying this wasn't terrorism, it probably was. Just not surprised by zig-zags on Egypt Air.

I get breaking news notices from FoxNews on my computer, and I knew this was terrorism from the get-go and add to that, it is the Egyptian airlines which has been having a lot of problems with the terrorism.
Any chance we can contract to fly his excellency on Egypt Air for his farewell tour?

I know from knowledge that Israel’s EL AL Airlines is BIG on the security, and the flight crew have served in that country’s armed forces and you get a full flight prep before you take that airlines.

That’s a really interesting statement. I was trying to figure out why the 90 degree left turn, then right 360 and altitude drop. Hadn’t thought about a hijacking attempt. There was an official cited in UK Daily Mail who had warned of terror attacks coming.
Commercial airliner cruising at 35,000 ft suddenly winks off radar. No mayday call. No response when air traffic control attempts to contact the airliner.

Bloviating would be to leverage the incident into a political event. From what I have gathered, Trump expressed an opinion that it was terrorism, just the same as all of the idiots who said “No evidence of a link to terrorism” immediately after the San Bernardino shootings.
The reason why some Freepers will argue with you is the pejorative nature of your language. While I dislike your characterization of the statement, that is not my main issue.
I disagree with you that it is inappropriate to identify an event that fits the Jihadi paradigm as a likely terrorist attack. Not doing so has become a comically expected farce, to the point of having a cartoon of a news reader that starts off denying such an attack, but ends with “...and it’s muslim terrism.” (paraphrased)

The 90 was the bomb, probably in the tail.
The 360 is a spin as the plane spirals down like one of those helicopter seeds off a maple tree before breaking up.
