Democrats don’t know how to run against Trump
Washington Post ^ | May 14, 2016 | Ed Rogers

Well, it is game on. This will be an election unlike any other in the modern era. Two wildly flawed candidates for president will try to convince voters that the other is the one more unfit for the office. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both have their baggage, but along with his problems, Trump does have a couple of things going for him.

Trump’s first big problem is obvious: He’s wildly unpopular. Specifically, he’s unpopular with two critical voter groups, women and Hispanics. He needs to earn support from these groups, but all the evidence suggests it will be very difficult for him to do so.

Hillary isn't exactly wildly popular with voters either.

Trump is not running on popularity, he is running on "Make America Great Again" -- and many people agree with that.

The democrats don’t know how to deal with Trump because they have not had to deal with someone who puts America first since Ronald Reagan. In other words, they have all been democrat-lites.

Total BS piece. I maintain that Mr. Trump is perhaps thee most popular figure in America today!! Who else could have people show up early in the morning, stand in line for over a dozen hours in many cases and remain standing throughout his rallies. Afterwards, stream to rope lines seeking autographs, selfies, etc. He has now racked up the all-time vote record for any GOP candidate after clearing the largest primary field in history.
This hit job, along with the one about making unwanted advances on women in the NYT—as well as the relentless anti-Trump drumbeat on cable news re his refusal to release his taxes and the audio from 25 years ago—is nothing more than biased yellow journalism!!

Hillary and every other Republican were running representing WALL STREET and the K Street Lobbiest folks.
Donald Trump represents Main Street and listens to the voice of the people.
Since nobody in “establishment circles” understands that and probably never will. Hillary’s campaign is going full speed ahead running like it’s Barry Goldwater in 1964 unfortunately for them this is not 1964 and scaring the bejeesus out of Americans won’t work like it did then
So long hillary you wold witch...enjoy your time at Leavenworth.

Latino voters are more likely to be aware of what Clinton did in Honduras than the average Washington Post author-cheerleader.

Everything you say is true, but Trump will need millions more votes to be the Democratic machine. He will need 100% of Republican votes, and he’s got maybe 70% at this juncture.

I suggest running with their tails between their legs and in the other direction.

Trump is going to beat Hillary's ass like a rented mule.

Trump, like him or not, has one big advantage that the parade of losers behind him (Romney, McCain, Dole) did not WANT to have.

The democrats have forever used the club of political correctness to a) make Republicans cower and tremble for fear of “offending” someone and b) beat those Republicans into a bloody pulp with the help of the media if they do “offend” someone.

Trump doesn’t care if he offends, won’t admit it if he does, and won’t apologize to try to make it go away. The democrats do NOT have a clue on what to do with someone who will not play by their rules.

“Democrats don’t know how to run against Trump.”

They absolutely do.

Problem is, everything Democrats are good at e.g. opposition research, lying and 24/7 media bashing, is being rejected by American’s who want to live a safe and prosperous life with hope for their children and grandchildren.

RLY?

I hear THAT in the MSM but NOT in every day conversations, including in conversations I overhear while standing in line at the grocery store or at Walmart or even at Burger King the other day!

In fact, there were a whole group of construction workers eating their Burger Kings lunches talking loudly about Trump and men standing in line were all high-fiving those guys.
