‘Free Republic’ Now A Safe Space for Donald Trump Supporters [Jim's response at post 25]

On the right, we’ve grown to pride ourselves on our greater openness to debate and ideas, on having no need to toe a Politically Correct line or crawl into a “safe space” like pampered college kids who just can’t handle hearing from anyone who disagrees with them.

For myself, I am so personally dedicated to this ideal that I even perform the great personal sacrifice of reading the comments field beneath my articles.

Yet somehow I wasn’t surprised to see Donald Trump supporters, those swaggering tough guys, turn one of their favorite Internet forums into a safe space where they no longer need to encounter criticism or opposition. Earlier today, Free Republic proprietor Jim Robinson announced that the discussion board would no longer tolerate opposition to Trump’s candidacy.

I agree we must unite behind Trump and not allow the Trump bashing anymore.

I don’t care for Trump at all myself, but I accept he is going to be the Republican nominee. We have unite behind our nominee so Hillary Clinton is NOT elected the President of the United States. That can not happen.

So with that, I hold my nose and say Go Trump!

This Tracinski guy sounds like somebody with his shorts in a bind because he isn't getting his way.
I started out as a Cruz guy and still respect a lot of what he had to say, his shenanigans during the primary campaign are what drove me to Trump.
Ted ; you lost the primaries pretty badly, get over it.
Your showing state by state should have told you that you would have lost the general in a mass slaughter to even Hildabeast or Bernie.
Your appeal was to hyper conservatives and there are just not enough of us out there.
Plus your tricks, and yes, lies, during the primary demonstrated to a lot of us that even if you aren't completely gopE, you lean their way.
You lost, losing sucks, we know that.

If they are talking about you, it is a good thing. The Trump candidacy has revealed who is and is not part of the GOPe. NR devoted an entire issue to stop Trump. The Bush family won’t endorse Trump. Pathetic.

Select one or both forms, depending upon which one will best convey your obvious indignation at the FR Site owner in deciding how to run and operate his private Internet site.

Also, You'll want to be sure and annotate on the bottom/back of the form(s) the reason why every article on your Web site "The Tracinski Letter" has the following: "Comments are closed".
