Trump hints that Fallin and Brewer on VP short list
The Hill ^ | May 11, 2016 | Harper Neidig

Donald Trump said on Wednesday that former Ariz. Gov. Jan Brewer and Okla. Gov. Mary Fallin are both on his shortlist for running mate.

“Well also Jan. Jan Brewer has been fantastic,” he said. “She has been so fantastic. You know I won so big, her territory, we won so big. And she is a fabulous woman. And I agree with you, the governor of Oklahoma -- fabulous person.”

When asked whether Chris Christie is still in the running as a possible vice president pick, Trump declined to give a straight answer, opting to praise the New Jersey governor.

“I don’t want to say 'in there,' but he’s helping me and he was an early endorsement and a very enthusiastic one and he’s a friend of mine and a very good guy and a talented guy and he’s helping us a lot," Trump said.

He said there were between five and seven people under consideration to be his VP and that he will make the announcement at the convention this summer.

Brewer capitulated to the illegals eventually. She did good at first but once pressured, she folds like an accordion.

Yes...pretend ‘Indian’...would LOVE to see it. During debate introductions; Fallin walks over to Warren, raises her right hand, and says ‘How!’ to Warren. The media would go berserk. I would die laughing.

Jam Brewer is 72

It is an issue. If Trump chooses someone that old as VP, it lets hillary off the hook on "old lady" issues. Besides that, Trump's talents would best be used mentoring someone younger in that "Apprentice" position.

I say that as a woman who's a year older than Hillary. Just keepin' it real.

IMHO he needs to pick someone under 55. If he wants his changes to stick, he needs someone who will be around for awhile to carry the legacy.

Amen! Don't make RR's mistake when he picked GHWB. He needs someone who is fully on board with the need to completely reform Washington. No more business as usual. No more status quo.

I think Fallin is a better choice because she is more accomplished public speaker - more nimble on her feet in front of the camera.

He definitely needs a woman on the ticket. I was hoping for Michelle Bachmann or maybe even Marsha Blackburn. Sadly Sarah Palin would probably be a drag on the ticket.

I like Brewer. She stood up to the Obama admin.

Her age is against her, but when she wants to go on the attack she does a good job of it.

NO TO JAN BREWER! She happily expanded Medicaid in Arizona to get Obama Money.....she is not Conservative. He needs to pick a Conservative, if he wants the Conservative vote!

Donald knows exactly who his VP will be. Floating names on a “list” and discussing the “search” is just part of the strategy.

Say what you want, but the man knows what he is doing.

Fallin is more accomplished than Hillary. She can debate Hillary and beat her. The only issue is the lack of foreign policy.

These two ladies do not make sense to me as VP picks.

I’m trying to figure out how either of these two ladies would help Trump with minorities, foreign policy experience or working with Congress.
