Kerry slams Trump's wall, tells grads to prepare for 'borderless world'
Washington Examiner ^ | 5/6/16 | PETE KASPEROWICZ

Secretary of State John Kerry took a shot at Donald Trump during his Friday commencement speech at Northeastern University, by saying no wall is big enough to keep dangerous terrorists out of the United States.

"Many of you were in elementary school when you learned the toughest lesson of all on 9/11," he said. "There are no walls big enough to stop people from anywhere, tens of thousands of miles away, who are determined to take their own lives while they target others."

"So I think that everything that we've lived and learn tells us that we will never come out on top if we accept advice from sound-bite salesmen and carnival barkers who pretend the most powerful country on Earth can remain great by looking inward," Kerry added. "And hiding behind walls at a time that technology has made that impossible to do and unwise to even attempt."

Kerry didn't mention Trump by name, but Trump has repeatedly called for a wall on the southern U.S. border, and many Democrats, and some Republicans, have taken to calling him a carnival barker.

Kerry also seemed to dismiss the importance of national borders, and said technology has reshaped the world into one that the U.S. must engage at the risk of being left behind. He said Trump and others who want to look inward are making a mistake, even in the face of rising tension and violence in the world.

"For some people, that is all they need simply to climb under the sheets, close their eyes and push the world away," Kerry said. "And shockingly, we even see this attitude from some who think they ought to be entrusted with the job of managing international affairs."

"The future demands from us something more than a nostalgia for some rose-tinted version of the past that did not really exist in any case," he said. "You're about to graduate into a complex and borderless world."

How do you reconcile Kerry's "borderless world" with Hillary's idea that "it takes a village." A village means a finite collection of people forming a community - some are in it, some are out, and it has some sort of jurisdiction over local affairs, occupying some sort of space, which we call land, and not over other affairs elsewhere in someone else's space - in other words borders.

Does California have border, New York have borders? Can the California courts rule on the affairs of North Carolina or the affairs of some sharia court in Mazar el Sharif? Why not? If some folks in Michigan want sharia law, why can't some folks in Kabul have British Common Law?

Simply put, Kerry is insane.

This is election will be the defining election for the future of America as a nation.

You vote and support Trump or America will no longer exist as a sovereign nation.

Someone needs to ask John Kerry if he locks his doors.

I had started to believe that resistance to the borg was futile. Maybe we can start to fight back.

Kerry has enough money to insulate himself from the side effects of most of his policies. Converting to Islam will solve most of the rest of them.

The wall is a metaphor for enforcing the law. Starting day 1 ice and other feds will be instructed to start doing their jobs or go home.

Silly me I thought 9/11 meant that the border was finally going to start being enforced. Silly me, 16 years later.

The OBamatons aren’t hiding it anymore. Gruber, Kerry, Obama, Rhodes. All exposing their contempt for America, their racism, and hate for their political opponents.

Kerry has been against a strong America since he left the Navy.

If he keeps up this BS, maybe the Swift boat vets can help him to shut up.

Everything this traitor and his successor Clinton, as SOS’s needs to be investigated for acts of treason and selling out America.

Kerry exemplifies the very worst of America. The very worst. He is the absolute polar opposite of what we should be striving to be. This is poignantly exemplified by his response after he fell while snowboarding, and said “I don’t fall” and called a secret service agent a son of a bitch for getting in his way. What grace. What humility. What a moron.

Kerry needs to be keel hauled by 4 USN Super Carriers.

Actually, one carrier running at flank speed would be enough.

We could have former sailors on the starboard side and Marines on the portside pulling the hauser back an forth.

I would pay my own expenses to be there to join into the new olympic event, keel hauling traitors.

What are the Americans to do when their own government turns against them?

The same thing our Founding Fathers did. Burn down their gdamn offices and buildings to start. Hangings after that.

The left and the right. At least the political parties that claim to embody those competing labels.

This "borderless world" stuff has been out in the open for at least the last 40 years.

Funny thing about that, there are NWD minions at every level, down to the town council. They have power, their place in the pecking order of power doesn't change much, regardless of changes above. Many of them actually like to be given a "roadmap to successful town regulation."
