In a tearful segment before a studio audience on Thursday, Glenn Beck said he believes America is a “petulant child” that God has warned repeatedly and now must punish.
Beck, a fervent supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz, campaigned tirelessly for the Texas senator, who he believed to be “the next George Washington” and a man “anointed” by God and “raised for these times.”

Beck is a little late to the punishment thing. This Culture of Sodomy and baby killing is already suffering punishment and I very much doubt Trump is part of it. Frankly I’ll be surprised if Trump is still this side of the daisies come the cold November rain.
Well they would have picked up on the theocratic thread and ginned up all manner of horror stories. All the (real and imagined) indiscretions of Christendom, Mormon and otherwise, would have been put on grandstand parade. Hillary would have been presented as the secular Savior from all this.
Donald dodges this kind of bullet because his public take on faith is low key. Hillary now has to compete on the level of the world with Donald, and she’s starkly incompetent there.

Oddly enough, any time I’ve heard the phrase, “petulant child,” in the past few months, my thoughts have immediately turned to the likes of Beck and Levin.
Heck, I so wanted a constitutional conservative to win, but I LOVE the nationalism coming from Trump.

I agree that Cruz is trying to figure out what to do now but it may not be
saving his senate seat. Cruz historically hasn’t stayed in one position more
than a few years. He seems to me to be someone that needs constant change.

I think the good Lord may see that the churches are weak and wants still to try to see America shored up in that sphere before giving the whole affair utterly up to the devil. Too much faith had been placed in a “Christian America” and too little in the spiritually present Jesus Christ.
Distinguishing church from state is a matter that I believe has been given too little importance. This doesn’t mean the state should hate the church or vice versa. But they shouldn’t pretend to marry any more than we should pretend that we could marry two people of the same sex.

I do not believe that the Mormons accept Beck as a prophet. Joe Smith was a complex man with a good sense of humor. He would never have said anything like this. To compare Beck to Holy Joe—is an insult to the man.

Beck has lost it. He should have stuck to comedy. Like so many entertainers, he mistook his celebrity for genius and drifted into his own weird little world where he became the center of the universe. He’ relegated himself to the dung heap of shallow minded two dimensional losers like Clooney and Streisand. He could have been a contender.
