He made it out to be a creditworthiness issue, which could have been viewed as an isolated matter and one amenable to solution, but acted like an ass about it just the same.
Once you say to all and sundry you’re a Christian, the world expects you to be a class act. And saying you’re “conservative” only heightens the expectation of hewing to that.
