My Mom, who is passed,now, flew back from Florida to Traverse City, about 25 years ago, where I picked her up, with $64,000 dollars in gold Kruegerrands in her carry-on bag. Many years ago I had a very casual, infrequent acquaintance with Governor Dave Cargo here in New Mexico. After the event he had to go to the parking lot by himself to get in his pickup to drive home. The contrast of before and after really was obvious to him.

Then there was Governor Orval Faubus, of Arkansas. He came out second best in a confrontation with Ike, you may recall.
