The Department of Justice told North Carolina's governor on Wednesday that a new state law limiting restroom access for transgender people violates the U.S. Civil Rights Act.
In a letter to Republican Governor Pat McCrory that was seen by Reuters, the Justice Department said the state was "engaging in a pattern or practice of discrimination against transgender state employees," and it had until Monday to address the issue.
McCrory's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Why don't we eliminate Title IX and let the genders compete against each other in sports. Let's eliminate the PGA and LPGA, the NBA and WNBA, let's mingle the genders in Olympic competitions, too.
After all, isn't that discrimination, too?

“Affirmative action and Diversity dont violate so-called Civil Rights laws
But this does?
Great points.
.
They are the same Liberals who want people with mental health problem ban from buying a gun.

Happiness is a Warm Gun.
If you have one, you are.
If you don’t have one, you aren’t.
SO . . .
AFTER re-assingment surgery, addadictome or cutadicoffame, those folks can use the room for their new found selves.
Until then, use what the good lord gave you.
No, it does not.
These people are nuts and we’re enabling their sickness by paying for it.
Emperor’s administration demands perversion and debauchery as norms. Celebrate mental illness. Who thought gay marriage was the end of the line. There is no end of the line with the lunatic left trying to destroy America.
PC transgender people have the same limited restroom access privileges as everybody else.
Also, patriots need to review the US Civil Rights Act for compliance with the protections that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect.
Regarding sex-related protections for example, the only such protection, evidenced by the 19th Amendment, is limited to voting rights issues. And since the issue of PC transgender restroom rights is clearly outside the scope of voting rights, the Founding States made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitutions silence concerning issues like transgender restroom access are uniquely state power issues, not the business of the feds. So the US Civil Rights Act affords no protections for such issues imo.
Also, consider that by pushing PC, vote-winning LGBT rights that it has no constitutional authority to address, the corrupt feds are arguably effectively violating the Constitutions Clause 8 of Section 9 of Article I. The states made that clause to prohibit the feds from recognizing protected / privileged classes.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 8: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States [emphasis added]: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.
The useful idiots in the Obama administration.
This is soetoro affirmatively affirming pedophiles and faggots.
And in enforcing the Pervert’s Law, the Justice Department is violating the Free Exercise clause of the First Amendment. My Constitution trumps your made-up right to be a deviant.
By allowing transgender males to use womens restrooms and locker rooms, you have denied a womans right to privacy. But no one is talking about that. I would expect women nationwide to be up in arms over their loss of a fundamental right.
>Prohibited state and municipal governments from denying >access to public facilities on grounds of race, color, >religion or national origin.
Sorry DOJ. Transgenders aren't a protected class.
Ignore the DOJ.
“The DOJ is completely partisan, political and left wing, and he has destroyed its neutrality and respected position - and above all, it happened without a peep from anyone.”
And that is how tyranny stands up and beats its chest.
Ødungo’s continuing war on women.
