AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he's not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that's Rush, for those in Rio Linda), the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back - just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America's anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do - host. Get ready to what you were born to do - listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

Ithe question is: what’s the plan?

Cruz people are going to tune into rush? And listen to what? Rush can talk against the democrats for twenty years. How long is he going to talk against a republican president? Who’s the audience for tgat? Crazy losing gamble.

A true conservative is what the senate needs. Ted Cruz should apply himself to the senate job he was elected and trusted to do. He has the brains and stamina to stand up for conservatism in a forum that will make a difference for this country. Get back to work Ted.

Rush knows why voters are disgruntled. He knows why ppl lost confidence in Cruz. He understands most of it. He repeats all of this, but fails to go in on the people responsible.

Cruz. Bush. GOPe. for whatever reason he won’t call them out.

It’s the specific drip-drip-drip Rush avoids talking about. IDK why.

Very, very well said! Like you I didn’t doubt Bush’s sincerity, and I was certainly captivated by Cruz and initially preferred him over Trump, but the longer the race went on, the more I saw Cruz adopting globalist (non conservative) positions, the more I became disenchanted. I don’t need another “conservative” President who creates more government (Dept. of Homeland Security) or is cool with an unsecured border and lopsided trade agreements.

Reagan, as others have opined through the recent years, probably wouldn’t be seen as a conservative in today’s environment.

I had hoped that I was wrong about Rush, but today really reveals all.

Rush’s comments about the GOPe and media wanting Ted out, are just laughable. Those entities tried to do everything they could to shore up Cruz.

Look at the Caucus situations. They didn’t want Cruz.

Oh boy... Rush is really out there on this.

-- Trump has no clue who he is runnin against --

On the DEM side, that's true. Only a few in the DEM party have some idea about the options and when they might be exercised.

It's also true on the GOP side, but his "unbeholden" status has the side effect of smoking most of them out.

Be extremely careful. The communists GOPe establishment has a plan. They hope that Trump will no longer go for the 1237 and the brokered convention will happen. If they go to the second round they can select anyone they want. We have got to block by making sure Trump does continue getting delegates and makes the 1237. The communists are always one step ahead of the people.

Trump for President.

“FOLLOW THE MONEY: so did Rush invest in Cruze and lost it all”

I doubt it, he likes his money too much. I recall him mentioning offhandedly that he had never donated to a candidate. That was one of the things that convinced me early on that his real interest in politics is the money that he could make. The other is that he never bothered to vote until he was 37, meaning that he skipped two opportunities to vote for Reagan.

Reagan was not a neocon globalist, nor was he an across the board free trade advocate, so he would be anathema to today’s GOPe.

He needs to provide some evidence that they wanted Cruz out of the race. I agree with you. He was the last firewall standing. I mean, Cruz was going to get schlonged in California, surely Rush understands that.

Did he tell Snarly he was getting out?

IMHO, it was Rush Limbaugh’s JOB to bring in the votes for Cruz. I can imagine how impotent he is feeling right now.

Rush has a massive ego. By failing to persuade his listeners to be in lock step with his opinions, has to be a major blow to said ego.

I recall he has always denied controlling the opinions of his followers because they were able to “think for themselves” - did he ever really believe that?
