The entire month of May is International Respect for Chickens Month!
Please do an ACTION for chickens on or around May 4. Ideas include leafleting on a busy street corner, holding an office party or classroom celebration, writing a letter to the editor, doing a radio call-in.... (interrupted by my cackling and chortling)

satisfied your curiosity vis a vis a cat or dog?
Not yet! But I won’t go out of my way to do so. I also think it would be hard to try horse meat. But I’ve heard it is good. I did try armadillo once. It was good but very greasy. Last weekend we had some kangaroo sausage and it was awesome! This weekend it will be camel sausage!

The armadillo was over 30 years ago. It was well done so I doubt there was much chance of catching anything.
Pigeon is good too. But not city pigeons. They eat garbage and that makes them taste gross.

So, Laz, you've been disrespected by chickens? How humiliating....

Hey Laz, when Matt Bevin was running against McConnell who accused him of supporting cockfighting, I asked what happens with all the slain fighting birds?
Somebody posted Colonel Sanders holding a 10 piece bucket & captioned, “Try Our Bucket O’Loser Special, Today!”

Laz,
Agree. Present day Rodney Dangerfields, chickens are descendants of dinosaurs, with reptilian brain stems.
I haven’t forgiven the Cretaceous reptiles for treeing us mammals in my youth. The Flintstone’s `Dino’ was the worst.

Mmmmmm, so many ways to respect and honor the chicken.....
Fried is a classic. We love a good roasted chicken here. Feeling under the weather, a hearty chicken soup. But if it’s hot out, a salad with grilled chicken and peaches.... What about curry chicken? Mu Shu Chicken? Kung Pao? Chicken n biscuits? Chicken n dumplings?
And let’s not forget her contribution to breakfast. There are omelettes, scrambled eggs, fried to crispy edges and put into a sandwich, hard boiled, egg salad....
Long live the chicken! Fresher tastes better! And PASTURED CHICKENS ARE HEALTHIER!! Mmmmm.
