Sean Hannity embraces Donald Trump, without apology
CNN Money ^ | May 2, 2016 | Dylan Byers

Sean Hannity finally copped to being a Republican shill.

"The media has accused me of going soft in interviews on Republicans," the Fox News host said on his radio show last month. "I plead guilty. I absolutely plead guilty. You know why? Because I want one of them to win."

The admission came after Hannity spent weeks being accused of shilling for Donald Trump. In a rare moment of media bipartisanship, the liberal site ThinkProgress called his show a serialized Trump infomercial, and the conservative site RedState endorsed that characterization. Even Sen. Ted Cruz had accused Hannity of asking pro-Trump questions.

So Hannity, 54, chose to embrace a more general bias.

"I have been easy on all R as I want them to win," he tweeted Saturday. While that hardly satisfied pro-Cruz Republicans, who still charge him with aiding Trump, the message to the general public was the same: I am an unapologetic conservative with a vested interest in getting Trump or Cruz to the White House.

"I'm not a journalist," Hannity said recently. "I'm a talk show host."

In a campaign season rife with handwringing over the media's coverage of Trump, Hannity does no handwringing. He has embraced his role as the face of anti-establishment conservative media. Critics debate whether he's spent more time interviewing Trump or Cruz, but that is hardly the salient point. What matters is that he always offers Trump — who increasingly looks poised to be the Republican nominee, and therefore Hannity's pick for president — robust praise and safe harbor from criticism.

Sean Vanity. The same guy who calls James Carville and every other liberal hack on his show his “good friend”.

Well, what can a poor boy do
Except to be a talk show host?

Hannity is being honest. He has always said he’s fine with people being bias, as long as they’re upfront about it instead of hiding behind being objective journalists while having an agenda

Even you can’t be stupid enough to think Trump is establishment and Cruz is an “outsider”. If you do - and after reading your posting history it appears to be your main talking point - you truly are choosing to ignore so many facts that you have zero credibility.

Hannity's style is irritating a lot of times, but he's a consistently damn good conservative and doesn't waver.

Do Levin and Rush, etc. ever leave their comfy mikes and go to the front lines (like the border) as Hannity does?

I knew in my heart from the gitgo that Sean would be for Trump...and though he still has to do the Fox "fair and balanced" gig to some extent, we know who he's for....and he knows WE know who he's for.

First of all, Hannity is not in the news business. He is in the opinion/talk radio host business. So he can have an opinion & doesn’t hide his opinions.

I believe it was last week, when Cruz was complaining, that Hannity had his assistant count the number of minutes of air time each candidate had on his shows. Cruz had the most at that time. Furthermore, Hannity has mentioned several times that he has asked Cruz on & received no response from his camp.

I think he has been fair to all the Republican candidates & still has positive things to say about all 17 who originally ran.

Fox and the rest are in the bag for Trump because he makes them money. He should have offices at both places because he is on more than any of their ‘talent’. If he wins the nomination, then watch all of them jump on him like a rabid dog. That will be great for ratings also. If anyone on this forum is too stupid to realize that Trump is their tool, they are not his, then they are really challenged. They are for the Clintons, period. They are not in the least conservative, but better marketers than the rest. That is why their morning show is one giant infomercial. All of them stopped being reporters with the advent of the internet.

Sean does a great job. He’s always try in to get info out to us even probably against the commands of his “owners.”

So Hannity has "lost" your respect?

Your posting record is quite colorful. We Trump supporters not only "have blinders on"......but Trump is a "liar", "bombastic", "deceptive", unhinged", "duplicitous", "a deluded goofball", etc.....who "will fly into the White House with his toupee as a propeller".

Great vocabulary! You will go far.

GO HANNITY !!!

The author isn’t a Hannity listener.

Obviously not. Hannity has the patience of a saint. If he started filibustering on me like he does with Hannity, I would go nuts on him. Check Todd started to lose it and I can understand why.

not much of a debate. One candidate has a lot of friends on capital hill. One that said he can work with and get deals done. Shumer, Reid Pelosi, Boner and McConnell are his friends.
I would consider that fairly establishment
