Bush and Romney both have groups sponsoring Cruz. Cruz has been a huge let down but conservatives are used to being stabbed in the back and lied to.

Not quite. I want Trump and Cruz to unite to first beat back the GOPe, then beat Hillary. Unless these two outsiders become one, the establishment will destroy conservatism and our republic.

Do you really think Trump gave millions to NOT get what he wanted?
Actually, I think we need a constitutional amendment to prevent anyone from self-financing because it gives them such an unfair advantage over the great bulk of politicians who are bought and paid for by rich oligarchs and plutocrats.
But Cruz is an unimpeachable conservative though. So why hasn't the base given millions in small donations to him?

Like when Trump called Dr. Ben Carson pathological to stop his bleeding in Iowa? Then called for expanded corn ethanol subsidies in Iowa? I’m surprised Trump didn’t call for relocating the Capital to Des Moines to stop the bleeding in Iowa.

Harry Reid, and the Clinton Criminal Foundation.
He donated to the Clinton Foundation because the premise was that they were going to help rebuild Haiti. If he'd known at the time it was going to be a slush fund, he wouldn't have donated a dime.
Cruz had more cash on hand in March than Trump. And full disclosure, I am a non-billionaire, straight, non-Canadian Cruz donor.
The problem is that Cruz is one of “Them.” He has proven it with his votes. He is not a conservative, nor does he respect the constitution. His own acts betray him. When I was a child my father told me, “Don’t pay attention to what a man says, pay attention to what a man does.”
Cruz has been selling himself as an outsider and playing cute with his ties to donors though. I have no problem with wealthy donors, as long as there's full, up-front disclosure.
But it worked though, right? Trump ended up in a virtual 3-way tie for 1st in Iowa.
Here's the thing about Trump that you should be appreciative of: He plowed the road for Cruz. He took out Carson (who has all the energy of that cartoon character Droopy), he took out Bush, and he took out Rubio, using blunt-force alpha male tactics.
If Trump hadn't run, Cruz would be nowhere. I mean literally, he would be debating in the Senate right now. The GOPe would have told him to step aside so Jeb can be the nominee.
Rafael Cruz is ineligible to hold the Presidency, he is mathematically eliminated, he is in danger of losing his Senate seat in 2018, and he has called conservatives who support Trump stupid. All that cash he has doesn't mean a thing.

The question is- What are his interests? And are they really what is best for the country?
Sorry, but he doesn't appear to be particularly altruistic and has spent much money supporting democrats against repubs, and Tea Party candidates, not to mention his many year friendship with the Clintons, so I'm having a difficult time buying that he wants to save us from the globalists.

When there, Cruz mentioned nothing about gay marriage, for example. And you can bet he doesn't witness to any of the fudgepackers there, telling him Jesus will forgive if they repent, for example.
When Cruz was there about a year ago it was only weeks after a gay boy had died in the BATHROOM of this apartment while having sex and doing drugs. No charges were placed against either of the formerly "married" gay men whose apartment it is.
I know it's a total waste to say this, but IF there is a one-in-a-million Cruzer who wants to read all about this online, a google search would find it, a google search of FR and gg188 posts would find it, a search of google in the New York Times will find it. NYT had the main story and it LINKED to the dead gay bay article in another New York newspaper (New York Daily News? Something like that.)
It's a sordid, sickening tale of the depths to which Cruz will go to pander for cash.
Southern Baptist Churches can vary when it comes to what each accepts or allows in each affiliate congregation (for example, some SB churches allow dancing, some don't.) BUT….THREE THINGS are not acceptable ANYWHERE to Southern Baptists: GAMBLING, DRINKING, and NOT TITHING:
