Where is the rendering of garments, putting on sackcloth and covering oneself in ashes? More like the covering over of oneself in the dust of Cheetoh's.
I sure hope Trump wins tomorrow, then right on in to the RNC, because there will be a long welcomed silence from many I think. Maybe for as long as 8 years.

Next, Beck will be riding a bike through the streets nekid.

How does starving yourself make God want to help you??? Ive never understood the logic here. Jews established multiple fast days, and Christians adopted their own. But Beck thinks he speaks for God. He is a truly sick man.

Looking over voter rolls?
Makes my head hurt.

LOL, you’re probably right. I obviously am a bigger fan of Lord of the Rings than I am of Mormon theology.

Seems like a lot of folks.
And the number grows daily.
But then, liberals often say things that are crazy.
It’s in their DNA. And those who try to mask it somehow, can’t contain the inner liberal forever.
It always makes it’s way to the surface.
Jedi.

I never found d him as entertaining either, but informative, yes. Hope our prayers are heard. :)
On a happier note, hope your week is great. Mine will be as soon as the sun comes out and I can get some plants in the ground.

The theory is you’re showing God you’re willing to die for what you want. I don’t see how that works. If it’s not what God wants then I guess you’re supposed to die. But I’ve never known anyone who actually starved themselves to death. I guess their commitment only goes so far.

I don’t know about Stu but Pat is an AA friend of Beck. They sobered up together while apparently working at the same radio station. When Pat was on the air here in Houston he was constantly talking about “my good friend” Glenn Beck.
When Beck hit big Pat couldn’t wait to go with him. And I’m sure he’s getting paid very well to be a loyal follower.

God doesn't always answer prayers according to
our time frame.
Say what you will about the 4,000 year tradition of praying and fasting, appealing to the Almighty, but in Glenn Beck's case, it worked.
Last month he called for the same thing to put Arizona in the Cruz column.
And as if just yesterday, Arizona did go from the Trump column to the Cruz column and they are going to Cleveland for the Senator.
Funny thing, prayer.

Beck and Cruz are making a mockery of Christianity. No use for that nonsense.

Fasting is a legitimate Biblical practice.
It focuses the mind on the spiritual by avoiding the physical.
So, it just isn't the fasting that is effective, it must be combined with a strong spiritual concentration and humility.
