Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is standing his ground in his belief that allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice "opens the door for predators," dismissing criticism from Caitlyn Jenner, who mocked him over the issue last week.

RE: (and by the way US seniors, do you realize the Cuban Canadian wants to CUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY??

______________________________

From Ted Cruz the AMERICAN who happens to have Cuban ancestry and who happens to have been born in Canada ( something he had no control over ):

We need to preserve and strengthen Social Security. For seniors, Social Security and Medicare should stay the same. For younger workers, we should gradually increase the retirement age, change the rate of growth in benefits of so that it matches inflation, and allow them to keep a portion of their tax payments in a personal account that they own.

I agree

I fear these laws will require third variety bathrooms....or fourth

A real serious tranny can walk in and go to a stall and sit down and who will know

Randy heterosexuals dressing up like women and going in to prey on girls

It’s possible but it’s possible either way

I’m not sure this is the hill to die on

That would have been gay marriage or gay same sex adoption

Yep. Trump made one of his few mistakes here. Cruz got it right.

Don't confuse campaigning with reality. Trump was smart enough to sidestep this landmine as it's irrelevant to the larger issues at stake. Ideological purity isn't what's being measured here. Cruz doesn't seem to understand that.

Bruce Jenner’s not really the issue - the issue is other men - perverts - ‘riding that horse’ so to speak - and hurting young women and children.

Besides, this whole issue’s been ‘trumped up’ by democrats to shake the GAY MONEY TREE.

Democrats also tell their older members that social security will be taken from them... so SEND CASH

They tell blacks that they’ll be back ‘in chains’... WITHOUT THEM.

Now they’re telling gays that if you don’t defend trans-genders going into women’s bathrooms that it’s back to ‘pre-stonewall’ days. OH THE HORROR - SEND LARGE SUMS OF MONEY.

Dem shake the money tree... that’s all that’s happening. And Target will go down... dems don’t care. They want money to elect Hillary.

“Bruce Jenner’s not really the issue - the issue is other men - perverts - ‘riding that horse’ so to speak - and hurting young women and children.”

I agree the more problematic issue are the ones that would use that for cover. But I am not going to tell a woman who is uncomfortable with Bruce Jenner, a man who claims to be a woman who is still attracted to women, using the stall next to her that she is being nuts and she should not care about that. The scary thing here is that women might not really care. I have a hard time imagining Trump not caring what his women customers want over political correctness. We might be a lot further down the drain culturally than any one wants to acknowledge on our side.

All the dems who think the leadership is nuts on this issue that I have spoken to were blue collar dems. And men.

Social Security may not be perfect but it is what it is.

Our hard working senior have paid into it all their working lives. They deserve to get back what they paid- and no slimy Cuban-Canadian LAWYER has the right to try to make cutbacks because the sobs raided the SS fund. Stop the handouts to foreign sh*tholes who hate us and fix Social Security!!

I was a Trump person too but not any more. As a Californian I think Trump as president will be a bigger disappointment that Arnold was as a governor. At a minimum Arnold had an established record as a republican for a long time and the correct instincts on matters like the one we talk about here.
Trump except for the wall, has all the wrong instinct reaction on everything else. Like in the obamacare case were he still sees the government as key. I'm not a big fan of Cruz also but I was with him when he filibuster against obamacare and i don't remember Trump supporting Cruz in 2013 for that. And not for Cruz benefit, is not important that he didn't do that, What is important is to stand up and have the guts to say something against Obamacare when it matters...
...like when Cruz stud up against it or even before the law was passed. And I don't remember Trump on those occasions to speek against obamacare. Can any of you remember Trump against obamacare before he start running for office???

Here's the minimum to take away when you doubt Trump.

Will he build a Wall? (I say YES).

Will he - at minimum - deport every illegal gang banger and criminal he can find (I say YES he will).

Will he CHANGE ObamaCare getting rid of the worst of it... (Yes he will).

Will Trump also come up with a new health care system that STOPS people from dying on the streets... without pretending Emergency Room visits for the poor are free. (Yes he will and you might not like it) . He'll also save Social Security AND make better trade deals. (Not difficult as most of our ‘trade deals’ look like their made by people on the take.

Will Trump be everything to everyone? No. Will he do everything I want or YOU want? No. But if he JUST BUILDS THE WALL, GETS RIDS OF GANG BANGER ILLEGALS, HELPS VETS AND RENEGOTIATES BAD TRADE DEALS - - IT'LL BE MORE THAN THE LAST 3 PRESIDENTS PUT TOGETHER.

I don’t think you’re reading Ted Cruz right. Hard working Seniors are not going to be affected by the policy he proposes ( please re-read what I posted ).

However, the present system is UNSUSTAINABLE. What we have is a system where current workers are paying for an increasing number of retirees.

RE: no slimy Cuban-Canadian LAWYER has the right to try to make cutbacks because the sobs raided the SS fund.

Where is the AMERICAN (with Cuban ancestry and Canadian birth which he has no control over ) Senator proposing to do that? If you can’t even bother to understand his proposal, at least don’t accuse him of doing something he isn’t proposing to do. You lose credibility that way.

As I said, cut the dole to foreign countries who hate us and and invaders that Obama is importing (allotting $17,000 for the care of each just posted today) and replenish the SS fund.

As for as anyone doubting the Canadian Lawyer’s intentions toward U.S seniors, Google it.

RE: As I said, cut the dole to foreign countries who hate us and and invaders that Obama is importing

That would be a drop in the bucket and won’t even come close to solving the demographic problem of social security.

With Social Security now on course to run out of money in 2037, one of the great puzzles is why so many in Congress seem so determined to let benefits run dry for millions of Americans who have contributed to it for a lifetime.

Under current law, Americans are not protected in any way from a decision by a future congress to deny benefits to those who have contributed to it.

The written statement sent to all Americans every year makes it clear that future benefits are subject to the whims of a future Congress which will have the power to reduce or eliminate them.

As baby boomers retire and U.S. demographics are drastically altered, few doubt what will happen in the future when there are only two or three working Americans supporting each retiree instead of ten or more. A younger generation in Congress will not accept payroll taxes of 40% or more for working Americans in order to support an older generation which selfishly refused to address the reforms that would have enabled social security to survive.

RE: Canadian Lawyer

I challenge you to show me where he is a Canadian Citizen or where he is even allowed to practice law in Canada. All you’re doing is repeating a lie long enough so that it would hopefully stick. It might to non-thinking people, but not to this poster you’re talking to.

For instance the muslim handing over 150 trillion to Iran. For WHAT? So they they finish developing an atomic bomb and wipe us off the map?

Obama just allotted over $17,000 per 'immigrant' he imports (Dangerous colonist/jihads that he hopes will take over this land just as the Koran commands)

FOR INSTANCE:

BILLIONS FOR JIHAD! Obamas 2009 Supplemental Appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Pandemic Flu was revised and passed by the full committee. It gives billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries and entities that support Sharia law and/or harbor, hide and support those who want to destroy the U.S. and our allies. http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/05/1...

Read the summary from David Obeys office that was quietly released last week with nary a word from any media.

$3.6 BILLION matching the request, to expand and improve capabilities of the Afghan security forces

$400 MILLION, as requested, to build the counterinsurgency capabilities of the Pakistani security forces

JORDAN: $250 million,$250 million above the request, including $100 million for economic and $150 million for security assistance

EGYPT $310 million above the request, including $50 million for economic assistance,$50 million for border security, and $260 million for security assistance

PAKISTAN,$591 million above the request

IRAQ:$968 MILLION,$336 million above the request

Oversight: $20 million,$13 million above the request, to expand oversight capacity of the State Department, USAID, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan to review programs in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq

Lebanon:$74 million

International Food Assistance:$500 MILLION $ 200 million above the request, for PL 480 international food assistance to alleviate suffering during the global economic crisis

REFUGEE ASSISTANCE:$343 MILLION,$50 million above the request, including humanitarian assistance for Gaza.

Funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency programs in the West Bank and Gaza is limited to $119 million (Note: Gaza = Hamas)

Disaster Assistance: $200 MILLION to avert famines and provide life-saving assistance during natural disasters and for internally displaced people around the world, including Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, the Middle East and South Asia

Department of Justice: $17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system

OBAMA GIVES YOUR TAX DOLLARS TO REBUILD MUSLIM MOSQUES AROUND THE WORLD! http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/... #

Obama Invites 80,000 Muslim Immigrants Into the United States – Promises 100,000/Per Year for Next 5 Years

And THAT'S the tip of the iceberg.

The sobs looted the SS fund for all this!

Donald is RIGHT!

Donald is right about us being 'policeman to the world'. IT'S TIME THE COUNTRIES WE PROTECT START PAYING FOR SOME OF THIS PROTECTION.

It's time we stopped throwing trillions down sh*thole countries who hate us. No wonder we're 20 trillion in debt!

WHAT OTHER COUNTRY IS THIS STUPID?

DONALD IS RIGHT!!!

WE'RE BEING TAKEN- RIPPED OFF AND AMERICANS ARE SUFFERING!!!

AND HE IS THE ONLY WHO IS EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS ISSUE!

HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL PUT A STOP TO THIS INSANITY!

WE MUST PUT AMERICANS AND AMERICA FIRST!

Our seniors on SS are among the poorest of the poor (after helping to make America the great country it is- or was.) No cost of living raise in sight.

(and don't forget; the CubanCanadian lawyer wants to CUT our U.S. senior's Social Security!!!)

Our bridges, airports, hiways-AMERICA IS falling apart!

STOP THE HANDOUTS!!!

PUT AMERICA AND AMERICA FIRST!!!!

As for my POTUS, I want an AMERICAN, not a slimy Canadian Lawyer. He citizenship is doubtful. WHY ARE HIS RECORDS SEALED?????

I wish you are wright. I am less confident by nature or maybe because I was born and lived under a Communist regime i developed a sense for what sounds as propaganda and what is not. After i came to America i had the pleasure to hear/see most of Reagan important speeches and man he was genuine and sounded true. And while Obama can be interchangeable with Ceasescu in my birth country, Trump is not that far in my ears, he is all slogans and very little constitution like approach. Like the Wall building thing. Yes I wish he will do it if elected but I'm not that confident. For example don't we have a law on the books for like 1500 miles of wall to be build? I think it is 10 years old and never was money allocated for it. If any of the candidates will say “elections are in November ask your candidate for the House and Senate if he supports allocating money for that law and will try to get to m side as many as i can” that's how we will build a wall if you elect me. ( I don't know if that law is still on the books to be used but that is the wright kind of approach on any matter)

That's the kind of president I like to vote for. For me when I hear that we will make Mexico pay for it sounds propaganda and stupid because that is just no different of what Obama says when he claims he has the power to not enforce immigration laws.
And regarding sending illegals back yes i like what Trump said initially now i hear that he is for sending them to touch and return. I did not verified this and i hope is not true. If he did said that I expect that by November the wall will be made of sensors.

Because of this i think Trump will be no different that Arnold was in California, on the other hand i will vote for Trump, Cruz or Kasich before any Democrat.

Donald is NOT ‘all slogans’. He speaks from his heart- and without a teleprompter.

He has heard the voice of We The People- our anger and frustration with the corrupt politicians and government.

He is owned by no one. He is NOT an insider-GOPe.

He is a brilliant businessman and CEO. He knows how to run this country. He knows how to GET THINGS DONE.

He will surround himself with equally brilliant people who can get things done- per his cabinet and advisors.

He will surely run into lawsuits and many stumbling blocks thrown up by the rat party, but he WILL get a wall built eventually.
In the meantime, he will put enough guards on the border to keep the criminal invaders out. (something the ex-governor and present governor of Texas promised to do but did not,
because they are afraid to go against Obama.)
Obama lets the invaders in (more rat voters) and puts them on welfare for us to pay for)

RE: A DROP IN THE BUCKET???? DO YOU EVEN BEGIN TO REALIZE HOW MUCH MONEY OBAMA HAS BLOWN ??

Even if he did not blow that money away, Social Security would still be unsustainable in its present form.

You can talk about all the other billions in your list. Add them all up, even if we did not spend those billions, social security would still be on its way to insolvency.

The so-called “trustees” of the Social Security Administration published their annual report a year ago and the stenographers of the financial press dutifully reported that the day of reckoning when the trust funds run dry has been put off another year: until 2034.

So, take a deep breath and kick the can. That’s five presidential elections away!

Except that isn’t what the report really says.

On a cash basis, the Old-Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance funds spent $859 billion in 2014 but took in only $786 billion in taxes, generating $73 billion in red ink.

By the trustees’ own reckoning, the OASDI funds will spew a cumulative cash deficit of $1.6 trillion from 2015 to 2026. Measured by the only thing that matters — hard cash income and outgo — the social security system has already gone bust.

Even with the White House’s rosy budget forecasts, general fund outlays will exceed general revenues ex-payroll taxes by $8 trillion over the next 12 years.

This means there will be no general fund surplus to pay the OASDI shortfall. Uncle Sam will finance the entire $1.6 trillion cash deficit by adding to the public debt. Washington plans to make Social Security’s ends meet by burying unborn taxpayers even deeper in national debt in order to fund unaffordable entitlements for the current generation of retirees.

And that’s only the half of it!

The whole rigmarole of trust fund accounting enables these phony assumptions to compound one another, hiding the fast-approaching bankruptcy of the system.

That’s what’s really happening, even if you give credit to the $2.79 trillion of so-called “assets” that were in the OASDI funds at the end of 2014.

Those funds could be empty as soon as 2026, triggering a devastating 33 percent across-the-board cut in benefits to affluent duffers living on Florida golf courses and destitute widows alike.

RE: Donald is right about us being ‘policeman to the world’. IT’S TIME THE COUNTRIES WE PROTECT START PAYING FOR SOME OF THIS PROTECTION.

That my friend is SEPARATE from Social Security. The problem in Social Security is there is no money in the trust fund and even if we isolated ourselves from the rest of the world and don’t engage in NATO or Japan and Korea at all, the fact of the matter is this -— There are not enough working people to help pay for the booming number of long living retirees.

You have to follow the example of countries that have seen this problem and slowly follow a partly privatized system (like Chile’s ) because what social Security is is essentially a long term form of socialism.

I have yet to hear Donald Trump address is this issue.

RE: CubanCanadian lawyer wants to CUT our U.S. senior’s Social Security!!!

I don’t know what CubanCanadian lawyer lawyer you are talking about. But Trump, the German/Scottish ancestried Businessman still has to address this issue. All I’ve heard him say thus far is he’ll save social security with “more jobs” and “less waste” ( heck, I could say the same myself ).

Now if it is Ted Cruz you are talking about ( the AMERICAN Senator who happens to have Cuban ancestry and born in Canada ), I’d like you to tell me where he said he will CUT the social security of Senior Citizens — C’mon, give me a link.

I’ll give you his link here:

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/ted-cruz-advocates-commonsense-reforms-social-security

EXCERPT:

“The reforms I would like to see — and I’m campaigning on fundamental reform to preserve entitlements. We ought to gradually increase the retirement age. We ought to change the rate of increase in benefits so that it matches inflation, rather than exceeding inflation.”

[SNIP]

we ought to allow younger workers to keep a portion of their tax payments in a personal account that they own, that they control, that can grow at market rates, and that they can pass on to their kids and grandkids. That’s the kind of bipartisan leadership we need.

Cruz’s call for allowing younger workers to set up personal retirement accounts ...

Now, how is that CUTTING Senior’s Social Security again?
