Limbaugh, Beck, Levin, Loesch – They’re Not Obtuse, They’re Not Opportunistic, They’re Liars…
The Last Refuge ^ | April 30, 2016 | sundance

As a general principle no conversations have involved more varied opinions than discussions about the supposed “conservative” media and their seeming cognitive dissonance when it comes to issues surrounding Senator Ted Cruz.

Some people think these voices were just hoodwinked by Cruz and now their ego won’t permit them to admit the falsehood. Others think the pundits are too close to the candidate to see the inherent issues and contradictions; some propose their punditry is connected to financial motives. Perhaps it’s a combination therein, but many people just can’t figure it out...

All of those aforementioned voices know this fact. Limbaugh, Levin, Beck and Loesch are not stupid, they know the construct of how this all came down.

You see, it takes an intentional action to ignore the truth of how Senator Ted Cruz created, supported, and advocated for Trade Promotion Authority. An advocate cannot claim a position fundamentally disconnected from reality without intentionally desiring to do so.

That’s why these pundit voices cannot be just merely making mistakes, flawed thinking, or errors in judgment. It’s not intellectual dishonesty at play here, it’s just flat out ordinary dishonesty.

Lying.

Levin was extremely fair to Trump until Trump went full-jihad on Cruz. He warned him once that going with the hard left and attacking conservatives will not be acceptable. When Trump did it a second time, Levin went all-in with Cruz.

I frankly abandoned Trump as an option at that point, too. Last straw was when he mimicked the Code Pink anti-war nuts. I’ll be there in November, but with reservations. He brings more to the table than Romney, so my excitement level is a bit higher, but he also brings a lot of poor stances. I’ll focus on the glass half full, unlike the NeverTrump idiots.

Ok, so again. Zero tolerance for Cruz, but endless leeway for Trump. This is a damn joke. Trump has done zero, nothing, zilch EVER for conservatism. He talks a good game now on a select set of issues. Ok, if some folks want to line up and see him as the best guy to shake up Washington, fine. I was interested for awhile. He’ll get a vote from me as the clear best option in November, and I’ll hope some good things happen. This character assassination of Cruz for no reason is greatly disturbing though. Trump is basically the new cult of personality to so many here, just as many of the same people criticized Obama-zombie fans for blind loyalty. Very disturbing and completely unproductive.

Don’t hold it against Mike Lee. He didn’t come out for Cruz until Rubio dropped out.

Good list! Add to it Rush’s “full throated conservative” description of that POS ‘lil Marco Rubio also.

Exactly, her CFR antics are directly in conflict with her husbands undying love for the constitution. There is no way they can have irreconcilable differences like this and stay married....unless they agree on a north American union.

Also, ones spouse is their closest confidant, so I would always expect the presidents wife to weigh in on some matters when her husband asks. I guess my point is that they are just a couple of power hungry globalist scuzbags.

“Is Dave Brat a squishy moderate?”
“Dunno.”

You could check out his voting record. I don’t know how anyone could contend there is no conservative in Congress if they haven’t checked out their records.

“By their fruit you will recognize them.”

I agree. A candidate’s past is likely to tell us a lot about their future.

“So show me.”

You’ll have to show yourself by doing your own research. You wouldn’t believe it from anyone else.

“Does Donald Trump qualify as a conservative?”. “We’re going to find out, aren’t we?”

Possibly.

“Regardless of what Donald is or is not, we certainly know what our government is not, and we also know that our government doesn’t want him at all.”

The “government” is the collective body of all government officials, some of whom have said they are not supporting Trump, some are supporting Trump, and some haven’t declared.

“So I’m going to do my best to give them what they do not want.”

Some of the “government” has come out in favor of Trump. So you will be giving some of them what they do “want”.

“Is it possible that Donald will disappoint me? Sure.
Have all the others already disappointed me? Yep.
So now he gets a shot.”

Cruz would disappoint if elected to the presidency, as would Kasich and Trump. I think we can take that to the bank.

“Too damn bad for them, and you too it would seem.”

“Too d**n bad” for any of us if whoever is the nominee can’t beat the Hildebeast and then oversee a return to smaller government, individual responsibility, and more freedom.

“Don’t hold it against Mike Lee. He didn’t come out for Cruz until Rubio dropped out.”

I wouldn’t even hold it against Lee if he had come out for Trump. A conservative voting record is a conservative voting record, and no one can take that away—no matter how much they would like to.

I’m not really sure what your issues with Trump are based on. He’s just an American citizen. He’s never been entrusted with any actual power to do anything.

I can tell you exactly what my issues with Cruz are.

Since he has been elected, he has used his power to do dangerous things. The Corker Bill damaged the Constitution, and what it allowed may well actually result in deaths.

TPA, though obviously not as serious as Corker, further empowers a government that I do not trust, so I could just as soon do without TPA until trust can be re-established, if ever.

Beyond that, the way that he has behaved in this campaign has shown me that he is not who he pretends to be.

He is not an outsider. He is an insider that has advanced himself personally by pretending to be an outsider, which is the general MO of people in the GOP anyway.

Now as far as trump goes, is it possible that he could be a disappointment? Yes.

But I simply no longer trust the GOP or anyone in it, or the talk radio shills anymore. They have succeeded at nothing other than bringing our country to the edge. I’m not interested in what they have to say anymore.

They’ve blown it.

I just think it’s funny that Lee had to wait for Rubio to drop out before endorsing Cruz.

I personally do not put much weight, if any, in a person’s voting record.

Votes are staged. No votes are allowed to those who may need them so long as the agenda advances.

Those sites that rate person X as 93% conservative don’t mean anything to me. They should all get 0% as far as I am concerned, but they have not advanced the conservative agenda at all.

What they actually seem to do is bottle it up and make sure that it goes nowhere, but we feel good voting for them because of phony show votes they arrange for us.

They are trying, but they just can’t. Poor guys get defeated 100% of the time.

Yeah right.

As far as who can or cannot beat Hillary in the fall, it is very clear to me that Cruz cannot and is not going to.

He cannot even win the nomination. He is not a good candidate and has no obvious leadership qualifications whatsoever.

I think it’s the end of talk radio and talking heads for a different reason. I think that all of us who used to depend on talk radio and Fox news for a voice, no longer need them. We found our voice through social media and live streaming. We can live without them. We found in Trump someone who stands up to the corrupt media we’ve been fighting for decades. He’s our voice against political correctness and everything else the left stands for.

Yep. The establishments got greedy after Citizens United thinking they could just buy their way to power. The corportization of politics by both parties has large parts of the bases in revolt. Trump is the sunshine and they hate him for being that.

The video is well worth the six minutes it takes to hear.

So, “Ted” (not his real name) Cruz, supported TPA exactly because he did not want presidents to have to submit treaty agreements to Senate approval.

In other words, he is NOT a strict constructionist.

He is a NWO tool. He is a globalist fraud.

He is a big disappointment.

I have grown to not muss him.

“I just think it’s funny that Lee had to wait for Rubio to drop out before endorsing Cruz.”

Good point. Maybe Lee considered those two the two most conservative in the race and decided he’d let it take care of itself by coming out for whomever of them lasted longest.

In any event, it doesn’t look like Lee considered Trump more conservative.

‘This is the beginning of the end of “conservative” corporate talk radio. They heavyweights will never recover their credibility. The Dems must be ecstatic.’

Perhaps conservatives are the ones with real cause for celebration. If you look at the forest, and not the trees, Republican talk-talk-talk-talk radio has really only done one thing in the past quarter century with complete success until now. It has kept conservatives on the neocon plantation, supporting the status quo, all while our prosperity, security and freedoms have been eroded into a shell.

They were our opiate, as they served the globalist interests.

O.K., Chris, fair enough. We just look at things differently, but I don’t doubt that you plan to do what you can for the betterment of our country.

Pray hard.

“Cruz is a rock-solid constitutional conservative who will restore America to greatness.”

Horse biscuits. Listen to the turd. He supported TPA because he found Senate approval of treaties to be inconvenient. He was key to DESTROYING that check on executive authority, which IS part of the Constitution!

He is a globalist whore.

“Never will believe Rush again...he is a sellout without a soul...”

He is, but to give him his due - he HAS told us that in his way numerous times over the years. He has even disparaged himself for carrying water for Republicans.
