Laremy Tunsil's draft night will go down in infamy.
Minutes before the draft began, a video was posted to Tunsil's Twitter account. It showed Tunsil in a gas mask smoking something, just before he removed the mask to reveal his face.
The tweet was quickly taken down and Tunsil temporarily deleted his account, but attentive eyes quickly posted it to Twitter and YouTube. Tunsil's agent later told Ian Rapaport of NFL Network that his client's account had been hacked, but that it was his client in the clip. Rapoport also reported that the agent was calling teams to reassure them that they need not worry about his client's behavior.
Tunsil was discussed to be the first pick in the draft as recently as a few weeks ago, prior to trades with the first two picks. It turns out he wasn't even one of the first two offensive linemen selected at the Baltimore Ravens took Notre Dame's Ronnie Stanley at No. 6. The Titans than took Michigan State's Jack Conklin after trading up to the No. 8 selection.
According to NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala, the Ravens saw the video and it had an effect.

The Cowboys have an early pick. Maybe they will take him. Although coke heads and heroin users might have a better shot.
Well, if that’s true step-dad must be a world class moron. If you’re suing someone you want them to have money, the more the better. And if he did something malicious like that and it can be proven that he did, that may undermine whatever claims he may have.
The kids in my world are not irresponsible they are dynamic, functional, respectful, contributing members of family and community ...very much like the ones you describe. But the are not grown, they have much in life left to experience and discover. They do need shepherding and guidance because while you and I have already been that age they have not.
Most have never seen some one die. They have not had a family member face hardship or devastion illness. They have many things that make life easier than any previous generation. They are in many ways naïve. They still have much growing to do. They are still kids
“But the are not grown, they have much in life left to experience and discover.”
Isn’t that true no matter what your age? If I go by what you say, then we NEVER become adults.
Not true. By the time we hit our late twenties we have become adults. The rest of life is maturing or softening or wearing out. Depends on ones perspective.
I do not trust the judgement of an 18 yr old at all. I trust the judgement of most 288 yr olds
Ha ha, what a putz... who asked for your dumb opinion?
I have to admit how proud I am of my daughter and son-in-law who had a baby last Fall and refuses to allow the child’s pix on Facebook. That’s vs her contemporaries who post pix roughly hourly!!
True!
I’d hold a 288 year old hostage until they gave me the secret to getting that old! ;-)
Yeah sorry. Fat fingers don’t help. 28 yr old
any team that didn’t already know needs to fire its scouting department
my first suspect would be whoever expected to be picked as the first left tackle in his stead - that’s the answer to “cui bono?”
Lol.. Johnny Bench. He needs someone like Tony Dungy to wake him up before he wastes his talent. Character, you either have it, or you don’t. He showed his character with his money money, money drunkeness. I watched the draft and Tunsil appeared much more humble and grateful than Johnny bench. Tunsil has one shot, if he made a few mistakes along the way, but is sincerely changing his way.. It demonstrates more character than the crowd who has never made a mistake, well, according to them.

When I was a 18-19 y/o I was operating a console that was launching aircraft from a carrier in the Med. My officers, NCOs and the pilots trusted me to do my job.
That was in 1961-62, when young men in the military were still considered to be capable and reliable; just as they were in the Viet Nam fiasco. Boyhood friends died there.
I was not a brainiac in HS, but I had a good family and neighborhood culture where I grew up. ....The human brain apparently, on average, becomes mature when in the mid-to-late 20s, unless the host is given extraordinary challenges at a younger age.
Apologies for being so wordy...
Not too wordy at all.
Agreed. The spot on point “unless the host is given extraordinary challenges at a younger age”....I tend to think most of our youngsters lack this
” I trust the judgement of most 288 yr olds”
They’re all senile. Don’t trust them. They all act like 15 year olds.
good advice.....
what i really need to do is pout my fingers on a diet so they don’t hit so many wrong keys ;)
Good for them!!!
