I didn’t always lie. No, when I was a kid, I told the truth. But then one day, I got caught stealing money out of my mother’s purse. I lied. I told her it was homework - that my teacher told me to do it. And she got fired! Yeah, that’s what happened!

After that, lying was easy for me. I lied about my age and joined the army. I was thirteen at the time. Yeah.. I went to Vietnam, and I was injured catching a mortar shell in my teeth. And they made me a three-star general! And then I got a job in journalism, writing for the National Enquire.. er, Geographic! Yeah.. I was making twenty thousand a ye.. month! In fact, I won the Pulitzer Prize that year! Yeah, that’s the ticket.

And then my cousin died - Joe Louis - and I took it hard. Maybe too hard - I tried to kill myself. Yeahh.. I did kill myself! Sure! I was medically dead for a week and a half! It was a woman that brought me out of it - Indira Gandhi! Yeah, right.. And she told me about Pathological Liars Anonymous.

Oh, you’d be surprised how many famous people belong. In fact.. at one of the meetings I met my wife - Morgan Fairchild! Yes, I’m a changed man now, and all because of Pathological Liars Anonymous. Why, I - I even have my picture on the cover of Newsweek magazine. Yeah. Every day! Yeah.. that’s the ticket! Yeah, you betcha!

I'm thinking KSick could not possibly have known that just two days after The Collaberation Cruz would announce his VP/songstress. Slick move....Cruz got KSick to stop campaigning in an adjacent state, backstabs him in two days, and denies it ever happened.

Wow. Every day Cruz finds a way to be more despicable.

There’s an old saying that goes something like “once your in over your head, what difference does it make”.

If one builds one’s campaign on lies what does it matter if one continues to lie?

Most all of us here liked Cruz at one time. We all had our turning points. Mine was the Rubio handshake at the debate when it was clear that Ted was going to follow the strategy that the GOPe had laid out for taking out Trump just a couple days before.

Trump hasn’t changed who he is during this campaign to make people like him more, it’s that Ted has done so much to make people like him less and less.

If they had a real “alliance”, then one would be the VP pick of their other. Instead Kasich, like a crazy uncle, keeps insisting he’s going to get the nomination.

‘I cant believe I once liked and supported Cruz.....he is a total fraud and we’ve been had.’

Maine Gov. Paul LePage accused the Ted Cruz campaign Friday of going back on a promise to back a “unity slate” of the state’s delegates, a move that the Donald Trump supporter saw as “stabbing us in the back.”

In a statement, LePage said, “We reached a deal with Cruz’s national campaign to put up a unity slate that would honor the wishes of the thousands of Mainers who voted at caucus. But Cruz’s Northeast Political Director David Sawyer lied to us and broke the deal. Sawyer stabbed us in the back, reneged on the unity slate, and betrayed the people of Maine.”

The fight is emblematic of the intense battle for delegates heading into the Republican National Convention in July. Cruz’s campaign is pushing for every delegate it can collect to prevent Trump from winning the 1,237 he needs to win the nomination outright and force a floor fight. Both Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich need to win more delegates than are available in the remaining primary contests to win the GOP nomination on the first ballot.

Though he singled out Sawyer in his statement, LePage said the actions were emblematic of the Cruz campaign. “As we have seen throughout the country, Cruz’s national campaign is run by greedy political hoooligans.”

“I can’t stand by and watch as Cruz and the Republican Establishment forcibly overrule the votes of Mainers who chose Trump and Kasich,” he said. “I call on Senator Cruz to condemn Sawyer’s disrespectful and dishonest tactics in Maine.”

Just skimmed thru an article at Business Insider about this topic. Didn’t really get too deep into it as I was reading it at a red light, but....

Said that Cruz was only 27 when he was hired by Boner and that he had just recently come from being Rehnquist’s law clerk. Let’s just say that a person graduates college at 21, goes to law school and is done at say 24. Clerks for Rehnquist for a year(’96-97). The Boehner thing happened in ‘98.

So, Cruz isn’t a year out of being a clerk and is already hired for a high profile case? I don’t give a damn how great a debater he was in college, one year out of law school(effectively), with no real work/trial experience other than looking up case law/precedents/doing research for the judge, and he lands a high profile case like that.

Could just be me, but something don’t seem right about that. Unless he was just working for the law firm that Boner hired and due to his relationship with a member of SCOTUS, was put on the team.

What you said. This is Machiavellian level stuff, but still ham-handed in the bigger picture since Cruz can’t lay a hand on Trump. Makes the son-of-a-mailman look the fool though....which ain’t all bad.

This is bizarre. I followed this to its source article with USA Today, iirc, and it is true.

Despite paperwork and public statements, Cruz is denying an alliance.

This is his Howard Dean moment. I’m sitting here wondering if the guy is disintegrating. Seriously.

I think for a lot of folks it was Cruz parroting the Hillary talking points about Trump being responsible for the leftist riot in Chicago. He really jumped the shark there.
