Most all of us here liked Cruz at one time. We all had our turning points. Mine was the Rubio handshake at the debate when it was clear that Ted was going to follow the strategy that the GOPe had laid out for taking out Trump just a couple days before.
Trump hasn’t changed who he is during this campaign to make people like him more, it’s that Ted has done so much to make people like him less and less.
I think for a lot of folks it was Cruz parroting the Hillary talking points about Trump being responsible for the leftist riot in Chicago. He really jumped the shark there.
I think my time was a little before that...but glad we trusted our instincts.
“turning point”
Mine was the debate where the Cuban Gemini Twins, with little smiles, blew right by by a turned-around Ben Carson, who didn’t hear his name called, while Trump stayed with him until it was straightened out.
Just a little thing but it showed something to me.
Mine was the Ben Carson incident in Iowa. That told me all I needed to know about Cruz’s character.
Mine was when he suddenly became a Canadian and had to renounce his Canadian citizenship.
