More than half of the record spending on negative advertising during the 2016 presidential primary has been directed at a single candidate, Donald J. Trump, a barrage that threatens to undermine his candidacy even as he continues to march toward the Republican nomination.
Of the more than $132 million spent on negative ads by candidates and the groups supporting them, nearly $70 million has gone to commercials assailing Mr. Trump, according to a New York Times analysis of data provided by Kantar Media/CMAG. The sharp focus on a single candidate is especially surprising given the exceptional size of the initial Republican field.

Government free loaders everywhere are making substantial contributions of everything they can throw at Trump. Most of them are themselves government workers, contractors, NGO’s laundering money, and all the machinery of modern politics we have d iscoverd are running this country and media.
Nothing is more pathetic than Tokyo Rove.
True that
Hillary will have the same problem in the fall:
“I am going to create good jobs for Americans” - Hillary
“Your husband signed Nafta that destroyed Jobs! YOu have been part of the system that’s been destroying american for the last 25 years, you aren’t serious about doing a damn thing because you helped create this mess” - Trump
“Well, well, well Trump hates women.” - Hillary
“No Hillary, I love women, I am a huge fan of women, I just don’t like women like you who think their lack of a penis is an argument for getting a vote/special treatment/means they cannot be held accountable for their actions. I don’t dislike you because you are a woman, I dislike you because you have sold this nation out for 25 years”. - Trump
It is going to be a routing in November, and as much as the GOPe keep saying Trump will be the one routed, don’t believe it for one second. Trump has the war won before the battles have even begun, there is no path for Hillary to win, the electorate has gotten wise to the game and the establishment, she can’t argue she’s not part of the establishment... she’s toast.
All but the ad already happened. Germany’s foreign minister came out and said Trump’s foreign policy speech was bad or something. Yeah, bad for their wallet.
This is the same country that took over Europe with a checkbook. They can pay.
I don’t know these countries may want to stay out of it fearing the very real possibility of a Trump Presidency.
What, again?
Nothing up my sleeve ... presto!
[fail]
I gotta get me another ad.
"So in the present case, I say to you, stay away from these (Christian) men and let them alone, for if this plan (the gospel) or action is of men, it will be overthrown; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God." - Acts 5:38,39
Today's U.S. ruling class can scheme all it wants and spend all it wants to bring about its agenda. It will all come to naught. If God can speak through a donkey (Numbers 22:28), he can use anyone including the Donald to bring His enemies down. Pride comes before a fall.
PSALM 2
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his Christ, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
The NYT has an audio tape interview with Mr. Trump that I expect them to use to hammer him with a few weeks before Election Day in November.
That is why the ads will not work. Most people are tired of spending money on other countries. What's Hillary's choice, stick with Germany and tell the American people it is okay to send our tax dollars overseas? Actually, since they gave her so much money, she has to.
Won’t work.... if you think the games that work against the typical politician are going to work against Trump you A) haven’t been paying attention and B) are not understanding what is going on with the electorate.
The typical gotcha nonsense games are not going to work.
The electorate is fed up, doesn’t matter if you like Trump or not, the electorate has decided he is going to be the agent of change they are going to use to voice their anger... Hillary doesn’t stand a chance.
Germany? The country that is so messed up it can’t even protect its own WOMEN!!!??? WHo’s let the wolf in the door, they are going to tell us what is good or bad foreign policy?
You let your women be raped and then cover it up and try to silence and prosecute people who tell the truth about... get bent Germany....
And that’s exactly what Trump’s response will be to any ad citing Germany saying his policies are bad.
Wake up folks, the electorate has had enough, don’t have to like him but he’s the next President.
The times will be glad to help. Beginning now, the times will be using all its power to trash Trump and to paint hillary as the right person for the presidency.
I’m not disagreeing with him - or you - in case I was not clear. You have it exactly correct. I agree with you.
Bring it!
We are in now ways Tarly......
The Times will try, and it will learn just how neutered the press is... Trump has a direct path to the people through social media, and a following that predates his run for office.
No doubt the press will try to make the case for Hillary, and in November they will have failed miserably.
The electorate has had enough... for good or bad, Trump is the next president. Hillary right now is like McCain in 2000, doesn’t matter how qualified she claims to be, or how good of a campaign she runs, she will not be able to win, purely because the electorate has had enough... nothing will change the anti-establishment electorate desire this cycle. The people by and large have seen through the uniparty, on both sides of the aisle. Hillary is swimming against the tide, she can’t win, no matter what dirty pool that they try to play.
The more I see of Trump’s enemies, the more I like Trump.
