Nearly one-in-four voters say they will stay home or vote third party if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the major party presidential candidates.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump and Clinton tied at 38% each. But 16% say they would vote for some other candidate if the presidential election comes down to those two, while six percent (6%) would stay home. Only two percent (2%) are undecided given those options. (To see survey question wording...
So what?
Frankly, we need fewer low information, low-IQ voters voting anywise.
Sit out the vote as a conservative, Hillary nominates four Supreme Court justices. It’s over! There’s no country to save. Dark times. Multi generational dark times.
Sit out as a liberal...you can alway F the country up later.
Phenomenal!
Several days ago I suggested that Trump should consider asking Gary Johnson to be his VP and was shouted down. But I wonder if such a move would actually mollify some of the “#NeverTrump” crowd?
I don’t know if enough common positions exist to do that or not.I sort of think they do. Trumps foreign policy speech the other day certainly had a less interventionist tone that might appeal to Libertarians.
I think it would be a fascinating ticket. I don’t know if it would be a winning ticket or not but pulling the 5% to 10% of the vote that the Libertarians normally get might be a good thing and very possibly might win an election
As a former Republican Governor of a swing state he makes some sense. He is certainly not part of the GrOP-E.
Drawing some Libertarian votes into the Republican party makes some sense as well if Trump really wants to move the party back towards a smaller government party and away from the neo-con interventionist
Johnson actually got less than 1% of the popular vote in 2012.
Johnson + Goode (Libertarian + Constitution) totalled 1.1%
