Nearly one-in-four voters say they will stay home or vote third party if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the major party presidential candidates.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump and Clinton tied at 38% each. But 16% say they would vote for some other candidate if the presidential election comes down to those two, while six percent (6%) would stay home. I imagine most of these would stay home no matter who the candidates are.
Trump already ties Clinton and the fun has not yet started!
I was wondering the same thing. 1 in 4, 1 in 5,,that doesn’t sound too bad to me.

It would be great if we could somehow get Burney to take the Green Party nomination. But I think he’d be a target for Arkancide, probably a sudden heart attack or stroke.
A lot of Sanders folks say they will never vote for Hillary.

It is a poll of likely voters, the ones who usually do show up.

Most of them came home and joined the herd as sheep generally do. The last exception to this rule was way, way back in 1980 when John Anderson had his best showing in the New England states. But, in the end, Anderson's only influence was that Reagan won a 44 state landslide instead of a 40 state landslide.
Just the right numbers to sell as much media access at a premium as possible. Isn’t this country so predictable? That is ecactly what Trump means when he says we need to become more unpredictable and spontaneous based on core principles as boundaries.
If the voting age could be raised to 40, Trump would win. Hillary does best among young voters (who haven't been around long enough to understand American politics) and with people making over $100,000 a year.
Hillary's support among men is at 35%--add together the black vote, most of the Hispanic vote, all of the Muslim vote and all of the gay vote as her core constituencies and there are hardly any straight white males planning to vote for her...maybe a few lawyers and teachers and union activists.

Trumps supporters are highly motivated and he is doing exceptionally well at GOTV. Coupled with crossovers from blue collar Dems, this is setting up to be really nice win by Trump.
Once he unleashes hell on Hillary, his support will continue to climb.
A lot of Cruz folks say they’ll never vote for Trump. I asked one #NeverTrump woman on Twitter what she would do, if and when Trump becomes nominee—Stay home, cast a write-in vote, or vote for Hillary?
She said she would vote for Gary Johnson, a libertarian. Some polls have him in double digits. I’m not sure whom he would hurt more, Trump or Clinton. Does anyone have any thoughts about his possible effect on the race?
