Democrats DO NOT vote third party except in tiny numbers (2% or less) regardless of what they tell pollsters. Remember all the PUMAs who were going to vote third party in 2008 to express their outrage over how Hillary was treated?
Most of them came home and joined the herd as sheep generally do. The last exception to this rule was way, way back in 1980 when John Anderson had his best showing in the New England states. But, in the end, Anderson's only influence was that Reagan won a 44 state landslide instead of a 40 state landslide.
