John Boehner calls Ted Cruz "Lucifer in the flesh," "miserable" SOB
CBS News ^ | April 28, 2016 | Reena Flores

John Boehner sounded off a litany of insults for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz Wednesday night, labelling the Texas senator "Lucifer in the flesh" and a "miserable son of a bitch."

"I have Democrat friends and Republican friends," the former House speaker said during a frank on-stage discussion at Stanford University Wednesday. "I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life."

Boehner, who retired from Congress at the end of October, also let loose on the two other GOP candidates in the race.

Of his relationship with Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Boehner said that he was "my friend, and I love him" -- but with the caveat that Kasich "requires more effort on my behalf than all my other friends."

Boehner said he was on friendly terms with Republican front-runner Donald Trump, adding that he often played golf with the New York business mogul and billing their friendship as one between "texting buddies."

The ex-congressman seemed to accept that Trump would be the party's nominee and said that he would vote for him if that prediction came to pass. Boehner said he would not, however, cast a ballot for Cruz if the Texas senator won the nomination.

Boehner also weighed in on the Democratic primary contest, according to the Stanford Daily, the university newspaper that first reported Boehner's comments. The former House speaker praised Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders as the most honest politician in the White House race. Of Clinton, who he has known for 25 years, Boehner called her accomplished and smart.

I thought Sheldon “The Dark Emporer” Whitehouse from Rhode Island was going for that title when he decided to outlaw Science and free speech.

Mark’s not the one who has “flushed” all of his credibility down the toilet. He’s the one who will still have credibility when this is all over.

I’ll take Beck over Boehner any day. Beck isn’t the one who is the insider who did his best to destroy conservatives.

He won’t support his Party’s nominee if it is Cruz? He’d rather see Hillary and the Dems back in the Whitehouse? Ok, got it. Not a patriotic bone in his body!

Well I’d vote for Cruz if he was the nominee but then again, I didn’t work with him.

I often reflect if Trump wasn’t in the race, where would we be now. Bush and Cruz duking it out? I would have been backing Cruz. But Trump has changed so much in this race. As POTUS, I just don’t think Cruz would change things much, outside of SCOTUS picks. He’s a politician. And that’s the point. Before Trump, we were all going along with politicians as the answer. No more. Now I’m not saying Trump has all the answers. But gosh dang it I’m going to give him a shot.

Screw Boner. This is disinformation designed to hurt Trump.

No, it is the truth. If we are very lucky it will hurt Trump enough to prevent his idiot followers from pissing my country away. I'm not counting on that, though.

I’m happy for you! However, I’ve always...for MANY years....been uncomfortable with Trump’s style. So over-the-top and blustering showman, that I would have a hard time voting for him. I guess I just don’t trust him. However, maybe he’s “matured”. I hope so...some of his tweets, especially early ones, come across as high-schoolish, IMO. This is only MY observation, and I would never discourage anyone’s personal choice. And I hope no one will discourage mine!

Ted Cruz has done everything that he possibly could to fulfill the promises that we sent him to DC to fulfill. He has been thwarted on every side by the TRUE establishment, but has still held firm to his conservative values. I KNOW he loves and supports our troops and family values...and, by his actions to preserve the 10 Commandment monument in Austin, God. I know he respects and has the respect of our allies, and we need to restore those relationships. They have been trashed for the past 7 1/2 years to the point of embarrassment!

I’m not totally sold on his choice for VP, but when Boner talks trash about him, I consider it an endorsement. :)

Please allow me to enlighten you:

Levin one day calls #NeverTrump crazies, next day joins them:

Levin: ‘I Am Not Voting for Donald Trump,’ ‘Count Me As Never Trump’

Look at his twitter feed. Post after post campaigning for Cruz. Yes, sad to say, he has lost all credibility. When this is over, I don't see how he will recover.

As for Beck:

1. Glenn Beck: John McCain ‘Worse for the Country’ than Barack Obama

2. Fasting for Cruz

3. Beck Goes Full Bible: I ‘Believe That Ted Cruz Actually Was Anointed’ by God

Beck never had credibility, he's as crazy as a sh#@house rat.

Boner will undoubtedly issue a clarification:

He meant to refer to The Cruzer as Lose-ifer.

If it is in a campaign ad, it’ll be in an endorsement for Sen. Cruz. LOL!

Secures my support for sure.

I think with the YUGE changes that are needed, particularly in international trade, Ted and all the others in the GOP camp would be in over their heads. I’ve read three of Trump’s books, and I think he is the only one with the financial background to turn us around.

I don’t think that Cruz will even get reelected to the senate.

Ted's Senate seat is safe. Worthless RINO Cornyn won reelection easily last time. Ted's up next in 2018, an off year election.

The fact that Ted Cruz allows Jeff Roe to run his campaign, tells me everything I suspected about Cruz was correct. It also tells me that even in his cups, Boehner can get one right.

“How low can you go Roe” is an old school, backroom, brass knuckles, anything goes damn the consequences vile excuse for a human being.
